Great place for Korean food. Located in the first Markham place plaza.Friendly staff. Pretty chandelier.Good selection of dishes.Tasty Kalbi. Yummy pork bone soup. Love the small side dishes they offer as well.If you enjoy Korean cuisine, would definitely recommend giving this place a try.
Always my go-to standard gamjatang place.This location offers other options to pair with your soup such as glass noodles, beef dumplings or rice cakes.Food is always good quality at decent price.Service is good.Just that when they close at 10pm and you come in after 9pm they will make sure they let you know that they're closing at 10pm so please leave by 9:50pm. Happened multiple times. And they turn away customers after 9:30pm because kitchen has already closed and been cleaned.
The Scarborough branch is always busy whenever we pass by it years before the pandemic, so we tried this branch. The portions were small, they were stingy on the sidings despite us ordering 4 dishes, bland taste, overpriced (per dish is $15 and up), and they required us to leave 10% gratuity. Saving grace was the pork bone soup. No wonder this place rarely has customers. Upon checking the reviews on their other branches, seems Owl of Minerva's food quality and service are not like the good old days anymore.
Moderate quality Korean restaurant but the prices are a bit high for the quality of the food. Ordered Gamjatang and it only come with one side dish (kimchi) while other Korean restaurants usually provide 2-3 side dishes. The Gamjaftang itself taste ok; not the best I have eaten but nor the worst.
Really good & authentic food
I ordered food that was supposed to have ground beef in the bibimbap but I could see there was basically none like literally. and then they have the audacity to complain that I'm not giving them enough tip even tho I paid cash and just said keep the extra that's left over which was 1$. to be honest I wasn't even going to give a tip because I'm not impressed about the service. and the food taste kind of meh. No More Coming Here!
Food is decent, though sometimes the workers in the back do no wear their mask.
Foods are good, clean environment, staffs are attentive. No complain at all.
