Been going here for many years, although it has been a few since I've been. Definitely a place to hang out with friends and enjoy great food and drinks made the way you like them!
I've been to many a group events at The Owl and I'd highly recommend it as a place for casual parties ranging from groups of 20-50 people.Over the past 10 years, we've only had excellent servers. Both in the interior closed off space with a projector screen for sport screenings or on their rooftop bar also with a projector screen.The food is mostly English pubfair style (fried) but some options for the vegetarian, vegan and halal folks.Great hospitality and average prices, I'd recommend it for locals and for groups of travellers.
Firkin burger is a solid option. Bang bang shrimp to start, always ? The coors Original draft is so crisp n fresh! Friendly staff, n good service.
I just tried The Owl in Markham. Absolute worst service. My elderly parents never even recieved their dinners. Our server was nice however another staff found humor in our displeasure. Avoid at all cost!
This place is our “Cheers” we’ve coming here since forever. Great atmosphere for game nights. Service is great. Make sure you say hi to Baski, he’s always smiling and will remember you.Sometimes you want to goWhere everybody knows your name
Really great place.. friendly staff.. we had a pitcher of Creemorg Lager beer which tasted good and wasnt bitter.. nachos are a must try.. also had calamari and shrimp which tasted good but was a bit oily.. bang bang tuna bowl was delicious and filling. Special thanks to our server “Yaar” as she was very sweet and kept checking if we needed anything. We were not familiar with the beer brands so she gave us a sample to try.Special thanks to “Baski” for giving us a complimentary NY Cheesecake knowing it was my birthday.
I visited it on my first birthday in canada to this place it cool , happening and has a nice bar with a good bartender.But beware he will only pour juice instead of real booze shots when you call for shots
Food was average. I ordered Cesar , But I could only tasted the Clamato juice and no alcohol. I gave one star because inside of the pub felt nice and cozy.
Ordered steak and mushroom pie. Served with center cold. Came back nuked in a pile of mush with center lukewarm. Made me sick 10 minutes after leaving. How does one ruin preprepared food?
Great pub. Spacious. Friendly staff. We went with a big group (11 people) and they handled great.From all the food we tried my favorite was the buffalo cauliflower.
