This store is not a bad supermarket. Only issues I find they have expired food on shelf’s. Today I looked a a salad dressings in cold sections. They were expired. They seem to have this ongoing. Just check all expiry dates
Reviewing on behalf of my pops. This grocery store has been his favorite to shop at for the freshest, best quality produce and foods for the last 15+ years. We recently moved out of Markham and he always remarks every now and then when grocery shopping that nothing will match the quality and atmosphere at Garden Basket.Good place!
Great quality, lots of selection but at a very high cost. Prices for certain things like produce, meats etc. can be justified with better quality but processed foods like cereals, soaps etc. are sometimes double the price of other grocers.
High quality produce and meat products. Lots of choices when it comes to cheese and cold cuts. Prices are definitely higher than No Frills and the likes, but the quality is definitely much higher.
Very clean and well kept produce section, also a fantastic deli with excellent staff. Love this store!
Very clean, nice grocery store. You can find some exotic yet fresh fruits and veggies here, as well as good selection of teas/jams/breads. Helpful staff and huge parking:)
I have been shopping here for over twenty years now. If you're looking for quality and customer service, this is where you should shop. Certain items are on the pricey side but you are paying for the quality in the product that doesn't turn bad the next day. I recommend to shop here.
We used to buy the fresh store baked meat lasagna often. The price has gone up from $17.99 to $21.99 which we understand is due to inflation however, when we got home and ate some there was barley any meat and only one very thin layer cheese. I can’t imagine it would take more that a few dollars to make that, the markup is outrageous and the quality is far from what you would expect from a gourmet grocer.
On the pricier side but they have really great quality produce and meats and an impressive deli selection. They also have a pretty good selection for dietary restrictions including vegan, gluten free and nut free options for snacks and ingredients.
Fresh produce, a great selection of hormone-free meats, and friendly staff. Love it and if it was closer, I would go every week!
