Here is my experience:Great food! And affordable. However, customer service could be better and may be a little smile. The staff looked overwhelmed.I would go and eat here again for sure! Portions are great!
Found the place hasnt changed too much over the years. Food was pretty consistant. I enjoyed the chicken pakora with that SAUCE. So good. Chili chicken is a must and tried the general tso fish, a tad sweet for my liking. But I wouldnt know until I tried. All restaurants have been through the ringer. Was nice to converse with the staff.
I would give Tangerine Asian Cuisine negative stars if I could. Their food and service used to be second to none with the previous owners and management. Even after the new owners took over, it was bearable for a couple of years.However, now in 2022, Tangerine Asian Cuisine provides the most pitiful customer service and subpar "food", if you can call it that. This establishment does not care about it's clients one bit, not even loyal ones like myself and my family who have been regulars at the Markham location, on a weekly basis, since it's inception.Save your money, go somewhere that values your loyalty and treats you like people and not wallets. And somewhere that offers food that doesn't make you sick. Go to Hakka Legend or Federick; hell, go to McDonald's and you'll have a better dining experience than Tangerine could ever offer you. Buyer beware, it's no surprise they've been receiving an influx of negative reviews.
Spicy and flavourful food. This place has been a staple for years for a reason. Their dishes are spicy and flavourful. Egg fried rice, Bombay chicken extra spicy are some of our faves. Good for dine in or take out!
DON’T DO IT!! Worst experience…multiple times…at the Markham location. I thought I would try it again after a long time but things have only gotten worse. They messed up my order and refused to correct it …I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls for my kids and they gave me sweet and sour chicken. This was part of a $100 order. I offered to drive back and pickup the correct item. The lady insisted that it wasn’t her fault since she repeated the order….and I said do you understand how a mix up could happen between sweet and sour chicken balls vs sweet and sour chicken. And I know specifically asked for chicken balls because that is all my kids eat. She still insisted that I needed to place a new order. Also, no sauces for the chicken pakàora, chicken corn soup was not edible and they didn’t provide soy sauce, chilli vinegar, or hot sauce. Manchurian balls were soggy and slimy…Cantonese chow mein had zero flavour. Chilli chicken was like rubber!!! Overall quality was sub par and I am being nice….was a disgusting experience overall. Avoid this place and Goto Federick or Hakka Legend across the street. Thanks
We were visiting Tangerine in Markham for years since it’s close to my home. On Thursday December 9th was the worst. We went there at 7pm. It was empty only a couple were dining. There was only one person at the counter who was attending the phone and serving as well. She approached us and asked are we dining here? We said yes we are then she wanted to see the vaccine reports we took out then she ran to attend the phone without even excusing herself. This waitress/ customer rep/ who knows chef perhaps on that evening had poor customer service skills! She went to the phone at the opposite side of the counter and continued taking orders over the phone without even gesturing that she’ll be back to us. We were standing there with the IDs and vax report for 10 minutes like fools! Finally our patience ran out and we left the restaurant. This place is going down, the food, the service and place are all falling apart. The other part of the restaurant is like a warehouse! The place looks like a run down! Not to mention the waitresses are rude and have attitude. We were visiting this place for over a decade and we can feel the difference from then and now.Beginning of November when we went to dine we ordered garlic shrimp hakka chow mien and garlic chicken which taste horrible with sauce and salt only! Once their chicken pakoras were delicious until we found only corn flours with food Color and few chicken gillets in the pakoras and we stopped ordering pakoras.Still we went in December 9th and that was it! Never to go there again!They will certainly provide better services in other locations like they use to in this(Markham) location, until they start falling apart.
It used to be really good but now it's really bad. Customer service went downhill, lunch special prices soared, nestea cost 75 cents more for some reason than coke?? Steam rice not included for dinner and now they charge a ridiculous 2 dollar...And of course they don't have any spring rolls at 12pm during lunch special. It's better to go to the other hundreds of Hakka places I. Markham. Avoid this now
Very bad food. Chicken hot and sour soup was tasteless. Crispy beef was too coated in corn flour. We ate at the Whitby location it was so good. This location need better chef. Horrible experience.
I usually order from this place, and they have great food! However, from today's order I am very disappointed. We ordered 2 pineapple chickens, 1 fried rice and 1 noodle dish. The chicken and noodles were amazing. The fried rice is what ruined our experience. While I was eating the fried rice I found a bug. I'm really disgusted and overall disappointed. I won't be buying from this place anytime soon.
Went to dine with my family last night and the waitress rudely blurted out to me, ‘No more dining, take out only’ while waving her hands gesturing for us to exit..and there were 2 tables in plain sight to be cleaned from diners who just exited.This is the rudest behaviour I’ve ever faced in Canada.The food is pretty good. That sort of behaviour will drive you out of business. Look into it!
