The menu was ok though because it was printed on thin paper, two out of four were ripped to a degree. The servers were pleasant and the food was ok. One salmon dish had beets among the veggies. But both slices had rotten areas on them (black) that had to be cut away. No decent chef should allow that to occur. Also, the double chocolate cake was almost as thin as the paper menus! Of course that’s not literally how thin it was but for $8, I’d think the slice would at least be large enough for two people. This was barely enough for one person. It just tells me that they are skimping on the portions. (… and I’m very slim) My Angel hair pasta dish would have been better if a variety of veggies was included. I ordered an additional spinach salad which was ok. Again, it would be nice to have a truly healthy salad available that included pine nuts, cherry tomatoes, spinach, cucumber slices, avocado slices, carrots, pepper slices etc. These days, one has to go to Whole Foods to get a truly healthy salad with a strong variety of veggies. In summary, I’d return there but next time I’ll make sure to tell the server that I’ll be looking at the quality of the veggies and probably not order any dessert. Or maybe just buy a whole pie in the supermarket for the same $10.50 ($8 plus tax & tip).
Very great selection in the special menu. A welcoming place and we enjoy our meal here.
I went here with the wifey for a lunch date on Friday without kids.Wifey ordered the Lamb burger and I ordered the Veal sandwich. The place was waited by 1 waitress so service was a bit slow, not the waitresses fault. When the food finally came wifeys burger was fresh but the lamb patty was a bit dry, Otherwise tasted ok. My Veal came out and when I looked at the cheese (see picture) there were 2 mold spots. I brought the plate in to the waitress who checked with the cook who said it was "blue cheese". What surprised me was that the Veal burger did not have Blue Cheese and only mozzarella. I told the waitress no I'm not eating it as it's clearly mold. Ended up ordering thr Bison Burger that came out fresh and fries were fresh. Burger tasted good.I had asked for a manager to discuss the situation only to be told they don't come in until the evening. The waitress comped my 1 beer for two reasons, 1 - she couldn't find the drink in thr system and 2 - she felt bad.I'm not happy that the chef tried to lie and test me as a customer who had an issue with mold on my sandwich. The menu clearly stated Mozzarella cheese not Blue cheese.I would probably not be coming back here given this last experience.
First time visit. It had a comfortable casual atmosphere. Food was good and reasonably priced. Rare to see liver and onions on a menu nowadays but glad it was because it was beautifully cooked and tender.
Hidden gem!! Passed by this place many times and finally came for brunch! We were pleasantly surprised! The chicken club wrap is on their $12 entree special and it was delicious, huge piece of chicken breast in every bite! Classic breakfast was yummy as well! Will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!!
Service was great - courteous, checked in (but not too often), pleasant. We ordered the butter chicken (chicken was tender, sauce was flavourful, rice cooked perfectly), veal chicken sandwich (also cooked well and seasoned nicely, fries were thick cut (my fav!)), and 2 kids menu items (butter pasta - it was tasteless to me but my child loved it and almost finished it. It was a large portion size; and cheese pizza - my older child loved it)
Great service, good atmosphere, wide ranging menu and reasonable prices. We were introduced by family on her birthday ... and we keep going back. Still lots more to try on the menu! We ordered pizza for delivery ... very good, nice choices. We did the sausage.
The food : better than I expected, quite good. The service : waitress is very nice and friendly
Ordered the boar burger with sweet potato fries and it was delicious! I will definitely come back!First time at the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised that they have burger specials on Thursday’s. Looks like they have daily specials. When I called to place my order, the call was answered on the first ring and I was able to quickly place my order. When I arrived, the food was ready and checkout was quick. There were patrons inside with adequate spacing between tables. Overall, great food, excellent service, and there was parking available outside.
We had the New Year Eve specials, beer braised lamb shank and Grilled Atantic Salmon, plus escargot and mushrooms. They are all excellent. Not greasy at all. We are going back for more on New Year Day.
