The presentation for each item was amazing. It's a very photogenic place that has decent food. We got the matcha shaved ice with two toppings (red beans and frozen berries) and the monster waffle. Love the matcha shaved ice which was not sweet and with authentic matcha taste. For the monster waffle, it was very delicious! It comes with matcha cream, frozen ice-cream and chocolate drizzle. If you’re looking for Insta-worthy and delicious desserts, this is your spot!
Kids love them , environment is so Japanese too
Instagram @chopstixinthesix Follow Us!I am ROJI-cially in love with cute desserts! We got their CLASSIC Black Sesame Monster Ice Cream, and 2 NEW menu items - Roji Ice Cream Chocolate Fondue, Corn Ham & Cheese Abalone Takoyaki!! The Black Sesame Monster Ice Cream was so cute, we chose Dango w/ Hojicha Jelly and Japanese Cheesecake as toppings, the Ice Cream was so fluffy, and light, Black Sesame was rich, we LOVED IT SO MUCH! The Chocolate Fondue came with 2 Ice Cream Bars (Milk & Uji Matcha), Fruits, Cheesecake, and Marshmallow Candy, for you to dip in their RICH Chocolate Fondue, it was so FUN! Their Ice Cream Bars were so RICH and Creamy, the texture was so AWESOME, that we even bought a box home with us! We have had our fair share of Takoyakis, but have never had Abalone Takoyaki plus Corn Ham & Cheese as toppings, it was so cheesy and interesting.
The ambiance of this spot is extremely cosy and cute. They have lots of little monster cartoons all around the store. Definitely a very good spot for a date. The Matcha shaved ice ($10.99) was too cute to eat!! The eyes are actually a hard candy and the matcha flavour was quite strong and not too sweet. We got 2 toppings (osmanthus jelly and red bean) and both were delicious! The ambiance of this spot is also very cozy with a gigantic wallpaper of Roji Monsters!! They also offer the monster waffle ($9.99) which is a waffle packed with red bean and a chocolate drizzle.Check out our Instagram @eatwithjessandjohn for more local eats
Found this place through Groupon. Such an adorable cafe. I got the Monster Ice Cream ($11.99), which comes with an option of two sides. Parking in the plaza is a bit tricky though.
This was such a lovely cafe, the sweets were so nice and delicate, nothing overly sweet, so subtle. The wooden spoons and aesthetic was really comfortable. Not to mention how CUTE!
My honest review. Great place if you like cutesy and well presented shaved ice with two tiny dishes of mini goodies (which you need a magnifying glass to see). Good for at least the first date. I had the taro one and it was only okay. Did try the mango and it was yummy. But if you're looking for value then I'll pass here. There are other shaved ice places where your 11.99 will do much better and you're screaming omg this is a bit too much delicious fatty goodness.
Super, super cute presentation of desserts! When I last visited Taiwan, I read in a travel guide that recommended Roji Monster ice cream. Once I saw the pictures, I knew I had to pay this place a visit! Unfortunately, I didn’t end up having enough time to do so during the trip.Luckily enough, I saw that they were opening one in Toronto last year during the pandemic! I immediately went after they opened. The presentation definitely did not disappoint. The flavours however, in my opinion, could be stronger in terms of the two that I tried (I tried the matcha and black sesame ice cream upon my first visit).I went again earlier this week and ordered the matcha again, as well as their French cocoa ice cream this time. However, the server gave us an incorrect order for our French cocoa. Each order of ice cream came with 2 free toppings. I noticed that both toppings that came with it did not match what we ordered, so I informed the server. She came to take the ice cream away, went back to the counter and started walking slowly towards the kitchen, and took out some additional small plates. She spent a couple of minutes walking around the counter area and at the end switched the 2 plates of toppings that were part of the original French cocoa ice cream that was served to us. She brought us back the same plate of ice cream, with the correct toppings this time, however a part of the ice cream was already melted.Other than that, overall the ice cream looked/tasted about the same as how I remembered it to be.Would recommend if you like cute desserts.
Not as good as it looks. Black sesame was too sweet. Mild black sesame flavour. I’ve travelled to Japan many times and made dango from scratch. I can tell they used the rice flour from China, not Japan. Dango had course rice taste and texture, not mild and smooth. Matcha jelly was weird. nice decor and nice place to sit!!
The presentation for each item was amazing. It's a very photogenic place that has decent food. It's nothing over the top just done with a solid base. The portion size was nice and the desert gets the best Asian compliment of its not too sweet.
