Expensive Dim Sum!! The food is mediocre, but the interior design of the restaurant is very nice. The waitress/waiters were a bit on the slower side, but they were attentive. There’s nothing amazing or wowing about the Dim Sum and for the price of the dishes you would expect them to be better, but they’re not…It was a interesting experience, but honestly just save your money and go somewhere else. There are plenty of Dim Sum places that cost a fraction of the price of this place. IT’S NOT WORTH IT!!!
We came here at 1:20pm for late brunch on a Saturday. The place was still quite busy, and we waited 20 minutes for a table. Their tables were fully seated when we sat down and past when we left. Food all tasted pretty good, however only 4/5 because the portions were small, making the dishes pricey. Careful of using their tea pot, because it’s impossible to pour without spilling the tea all over the table cloth/plates.The service was quick and friendly this time - added tea quickly, took away empty dishes quickly.
Came here at 2:30 on a weekday, there were many tables as it was the end of the dim sum hours. Every dish we ordered was well made and tasty and their congee can serve up to 6 people, but the potatoes in the pumpkin chestnut congee weren’t cooked through. Their har gow and siu mai are smaller compared to other popular dim sum spots but I personally don’t mind. Service was good and everything we ordered took a total of 15 minutes to come. Love the interior of the restaurant and the cutlery and takeout boxes they use. Always drove past here and never knew what this place was, their restaurant title on their sign is very small, and the exterior of the place does not make it look like a typical restaurant, but it adds to the aesthetic I guess.
Went there for dinner on Monday night, not busy at all, so it might be a good time to come try it if you have never been here. The food was delicious and creative! I would definitely recommend the stuffed chicken wings, they stuffed it with 糯米飯 (sticky rice) then panfried them - definitely my favourite! Please note that this place is a bit expensive though, but matched with nice decor and good food.
Excellent service, comfortable atmosphere, and delicious food at a reasonable price! We almost visit every Sunday now, their menu isn’t huge but every dish we’ve tried so far tastes great. They also have seafood specials every Sunday as well.Highly recommend!
Came here dine in on Sunday May2022They are busy as they still space out all their tables. So seating capacity is way less than before.Came here @ 2:15 pm and waited about 30 minutes before a table is available for 4 of us.Services is excellent from management to people serving us. Everyone are friendly that we come into contact with.Price went up as expected but it is fair.Restaurant is clean and their washroom installed touchless sensor for you to open the door.To be honest, food is above average but not the best.... However the overall experience for me will give them 5 Stars.Sometimes it is not just the food and it is the overall experience that counts.Give them a try if you are in the area!
This was our first time to go to Providential 9 鳳庭 dim sum, it was pretty good. The décor is very nice, the price is reasonable but no discount for dim sum. The sticky rice is quite unique, the rest are tasty. Service is very warm.
My favourite dim sum place so far!!! I had brought numerous friends to this morning tea place and everyone loved it! The service people are very friendly as well (patient enough to decipher my flawed Cantonese, lmao). My favourite dishes are watercress porridge, milk tart, Cha-siu tart with chestnut, and curry octopus.
I don’t have high expectations for dimsum restaurants unfortunately in terms of service (love eating dimsum though) and I knew it was too good to be true when Providential 9 takes reservation. Even after reading previous reviews, it’s sadly true - there’s additional wait even after your reserved time. We booked for 12pm and sat down closer to 1pm. The restaurant seems to focus on accommodating walk-ins more.Other than that, the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing but on the smaller side compared to surrounding dimsum places. Their menu options are limited, on a 8x11 paper size for reference. Everything came out hot and in a timely manner. Definitely order the sesame ball with salted egg yolk filling!
Good experience. Easy to find tables if you arrive early. Menu is a bit lean but average quality is OK. Standout items are the BBQ pork bun and the mango mocchi.
