Ate here many times since high school! Their Hainanese Chicken Rice is a staple must have. Everything we've tried on their menu have not disappoint. They're a good staple HK style restaurant.
Wonderful HK style cafe! The food is always consistent, and the service is also quite friendly! Maybe I am biased because I went here a lot during my high school years...but every time I return, it's still so good!✅ Hainan Chicken rice - amazingly seasoned, juicy chicken, a classic✅ Napoleon - mango ice cream, whipped cream + puffed pastry - what else could be better??✅ Korean stone pot rice - crispy, crunchy, delicious!Follow: @tammyeatsworld_ on IG for more!
They make you order online now, which is actually better because you can see all the possible substitutions/additions you can make to a dish, and even sold out items, instead of asking the waiter who could forget or might not know. The baked pork chop with cream and tomato sauce was really delicious and for me, it's enough to cover two meals so it's really worth it. I also really like their iced lemon tea because it was the ideal sweetness. The only thing was when my friends and I were paying our bill, I paid my bill in cash and was expecting change. They never gave it until they later walked by and asked if anyone was missing change. I said I was, and when it came, it wasn't even the correct bill or change amount. I think they were expecting people to automatically give a certain percentage for tips, which I don't think you're technically allowed to do unless it was posted. This was just a small issue, and service was great anyway, so I don't really care, but it was the first time this happened to me.
We ordered a children set, a Satay beef noodle amd Korean chicken rice tonight. Everything taste good. We used to eat little so we can keep another half portion of each dish for tomorrow's lunch. The beef in Satay noodle is mild spicy and the Korean chicken rice is hot :D
Great Cantonese style restaurants. Lots of varieties from breakfast to dinner to snacks and desserts. Their satay beef noodle in soup is my go-to breakfast. Highly recommend their hainanese chicken rice and porkchops baked rice too for lunch. Portion is decent. I always have leftover for the next day.
Come here if you're craving Hong Kong style cuisine. My family and I have been frequenting this location for years, and it has never disappointed. The food is consistent and well priced. If you don't know Hong Kong style food, then this is the place to try. The hot milk tea is good here (a key beverage thanks to British colonialism). If you're looking for high brow Chinese food, then look elsewhere. This is a casual spot, meant for family dining.
This place never disappoints when you want to have Hong Kong style food and milk tea. They also have an annual Chinese New Year promo every year with red pockets containing discounts for every purchase!
Great HK style breakfast , just wish the lemon tea was in a larger cup . Highly recommended but remember cash only
This place is always good in a pinch. And they have the awesome combo meal deals for feeding the whole family with delicious food! Love the Asian cafe style food and always so many different options available and Phoenix doesn’t have a shortage of food options either! The service was awesome and super quick in getting my takeout order ready and on time! Great job and will definitely return to try that unlimited amount of food options!Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics and more amazing content!
Unfortunate to see all the 1-star ratings given for “poor service” and I wonder whether people just need to recalibrate their expectations and also be more cognizant of the language barrier at times. This place is meant to be a homey, casual place for familiar, comfort food, which they do very well. Has some of the best Hainanese chicken rice in the city, and the service we received was excellent.Very good physical distancing was enforced indoors and they were highly diligent about checking vaccine passports and taking temperatures. Our food came out fast and the quality, as mentioned above, was quite good, particularly for the cost.I will certainly be back and would highly recommend this place for anyone with a Hainanese chicken craving in the area!
