Ordered thru Uber eat on a busy Friday evening. Showing the wait time is 25-35 min. Actually it’s about 1 hour. Came inside asking about the order twice but nobody answered. Price is really cheap. Fish is not fresh and the rice is not good though. Will not return to this place.
Took a gamble on their buy one get one free promotion of a 50 pc sushi party tray (all salmon).The sushi itself wasn't that bad! It didn't taste as fresh but for the price m of $60+ tax, it was definitely worth it.The restaurant itself was small, and a little cramped with just 3 people standing and waiting.. but quick service nonetheless.
Don't order it from their website, they may tell you they didn't get your order and you have to wait for 30 mins minimum. I ordered 1 hour ahead of time from their website and paid but the server didn't click accept the order and I have to wait for 30 mins. No apologies, very rude! I paid 15%tips and not even said sorry we didn't click accept the order.Food is very bad too. Fish tastes all frozen. This is the first time and will be the last time.
Presentation of party trays are not desirable and portion wise looks small. Party trays feel over priced and to compare to other sushi places this one ISN’T the best. Also when you order a head of time for pickup the order is not ready for pickup at your time you arrive. Not organized and don’t even apologize for the long wait for your order. Your service of takeout is slow and not organized please fix the problems to improve service. Also COVID should not be an excuse to service!!!
The presentation leaves a lot to be desired and portions are small. I unfortunately have to agree with others on the service. The other monkey sushi locations do a much better job.
The sushi was really poorly done. The fish itself was just fine, which is good. But the rice was absolutely the wrong temperature, being too warm, and it was evident they hadn’t used vinegar.Perhaps they had a really off day, but with so many other reliable sushi places around, I will not be taking a chance on this place again.I should also note that while they attempted to control and direct foot traffic for COVID distancing purposes, it too was poorly executed and in fact ended up having people clustered together and trying to enter and exit through the same way.
First time trying this place and ordered through Fantuan. I ordered the salmon set. I was worried looking through the google reviews but honestly my order turned out awesome! Huge pieces of sushi and salmon! Salmon tasted fresh and the texture and taste of the rice was good too! They also gave lots of condiments and the soy sauce was fully filled in each container. Just the right amount needed! I’ll be ordering again in the future!
Their BOGO deal on UberEats is an excellent price, not to mention the rolls taste really fresh! We've ordered twice already and anticipate to order again soon.They also offer drinks from Shuyi Tealicious! Double-win!
Firstly, I am absolutely disgusted, I dont reccomend anyone to get sushi from here. I DONT take these things lightly because iv experienced food poisoning before and it was a solid 2 weeks of being completely ill.There were holes with long white things inside that was surrounded by black stuff in the holes. Was offered store credit, but obviously im never coming back. Just hoping Im not going to be sick after consuming 2 pieces of sashimi before discovering a black spots on 2 pieces, and furthermore after digging into the black spots there were these long yellowish thing that seems to be a worm that tunneled though the flesh.Altogether if I do get sick from this im going to report this incident to Ontario Food health and safety.
I would not recommend this place. The pictures already speaks for itself. Don't waste your money here.
