Everything was great until i was eating my food than , a server decided it was a good idea to spray cleaner on a table towards closing time. I ate it while eating my food. Other than that not sure where the pineapple was in the rice. Chicken kabobs sub par. Shrimp spring rolls ?‍♂️ not really my thing. For the price i think you can find something better. With in 5 km of that location. I did eat it all. So it wasn’t terrible. But I’ve hade better.

We went here for dinner tonight and the service was amazing as the staff asked about allergies and took the initiative to give us extra napkins when we ran out. The dishes themselves had a lot of flavor. The Ribeye was cut and tender with proper seasoning. The lamb shank was falling off the bone and easy to share with a deep coconut curry base that we dipped naan in. The chicken satay was very tender and easy to extract from the skewer. The pork cheeks were easy to chew for my mother with bad teeth so that shows how tender they were. The desserts weren't overwhelmingly sweet, but presented some new flavors that we haven't tasted before probably because of the mix of ingredients. The only area of improvement I could recommend is that some or many of the dishes had a bit too much flavor and salt as I caught myself drinking a lot of water to compensate for the dehydration. Though this could just be because I'm used to having lighter-tasting food. All in all, I'd definitely come again and try out other dishes, especially their BBQ menu that we passed on this time.

We had such a pleasant experience at Lanna Thai. Their customer service was amazing beginning till the end. Throughout our whole dinner the staff was attentive; always came to check up on us and changed our plates when needed. The atmosphere and ambience was very picturesque and comfortable. They knew we were celebrating a birthday, gave me a crown for photos and even gifted us dessert on the house. Never once rushed us and never made us feel bad like other restaurants do when it's near closing time. We truly had a great time! Thank you so much for having us. We will definitely be back, the grilled bass was absolutely delicious!

I traveled to Toronto from Houston for business. My hotel was far from traditional Toronto "Chinatown." I was however craving good Thai food and a local recommended "Lanna Cuisine." I have to tell you that the wait staff were so friendly and positive that I had an instant smile. I ordered the green curry chicken which was delicious and fresh with just the right amount of spices. My experience was so good that I will be staying in this area of Toronto in the future just to experience the amazing food and ambience. By the way, I never leave reviews. I assume, like most, we comment when something is either very good, or very bad. This place is exceptional.

I wished I had never come.Parking isn’t very easy tbh. You need to park your car across the street and the parking lot is quite busy at night. And it’s quite dangerous to walk across the street as there is no pedestrian lines at the crossing.Interior decoration is good. However, seats are super squishy. If you are not 130lb or less you can’t even fit in. During my whole dinner time, I kept adjusting my seat for people at the next table. How comfortable it is? ??Dishes are horrible. Definitely not AUTHENTIC THAI as advertised.Raw materials are fresh but the chef wastes them all.Chicken feet taste super spicy and nothing else.No smell of coconut nor curry for curry crab, just nothing. Crab is fresh but I would rather have it boiled as it tastes much worse with curry sauce. Curry sauce was disappointed as you can only taste flours.Pad Thai is extremely salty but it’s the only acceptable dish. Shrimps are fresh. The most horrible dish was tum yum soup. Chef poured the whole bottle of vinegar and a dozen of lemon into this small bowl. It’s not bearable for a normal human being.Btw, during our visit, I have seen 3 different tables complained to the server and the chef. After having dinner at this place, I got strongly uncomfortable with my stomach. I suffered from diarrhea for at least 7 times. Those symptoms has last 3 days.$150 for 4 dishes + $30 for medicine. Well it’s a waste of money, time, and mood.Never go to this place.——As you claimed that my review was impolite and unappreciated, I have to make another response to your words.First of all, I haven’t seen any of the restaurants would treat their customer reviews in this way. I felt sick for 3 days because of your food. The first thing you do in your response is to set me up as a dishonest reviewer. How rude and arrogant are you? Never seen a restaurant like this ??In regards to the parking, I’m not the only one on social media that complain about the parking. There was a “private property” notice for the parking lot but unfortunately it did take me a while to confirm it’s a proper place to park. And the crossing is actually in the middle of two blocks which made me confused and of course inconvenient.I’m a Thai food lover. I have been to great Thai restaurants like Pai, Eat Bkk, Chiang Rai, etc. I know exactly how it should taste. Thank you for your advice to not recommend Thai food but I’m not going to take it cuz real Thai food is super delicious and it’s your problem only.I don’t need your apology for the experience as you definitely don’t feel sorry about it. And as a management team, having such rude reply to a sick and upset customer clearly shows your attitude to other customers and fortunately everyone here can see it.I made this review from my heart and every word I wrote was sincere and honest which showed how disappointed I was. I wished there would be a sincere apology and I would had left a better after-reply review. It didn’t turn out that way unfortunately.Anyways, I greatly appreciate your response as you actually reveal your true selves to every customer.

Me and my girlfriend attended Lanna on March 22nd/2022, which is my girlfriends birthday. I didn't know what to expect from Lanna but upon our arrival I was happy with the ambience. I purchased a bottle of wine for the occasion, which was delicious. Our server Ryan combined a few appetizers into one so we could try out a few things. Overall the food is really enjoyable and I'll definitely be returning. Being a business owner myself, I can appreciate the lengths Ryan and Joanne took to make the evening special for my girlfriend upon finding out it was her birthday. Thanks for the great hospitality Ryan and Joanne, it was great to have you guys as our servers, you managed to make the night a lot more memorable! See you soon.

Ordered a Coconut Tom Yum Goong soup to go, but later found out its a regular Tom Yum Goong, and the soup turned from hot to warm due to time and logistics, which isn't a big deal coz any restaurant would just replace the soup. But instead, when I returned to the restaurant to get it fix, the restaurant just added a cup of coconut cream in my soup and heated it up, lol, and it's a 9 dollar soup from a fancy looking thai restaurant . I thought my 3 dollar McDonald cheese burger would get a new remake if it's missing pickles. Never will I buy from this place again.

We were looking for a cheap Thai take-out or dine-in as we were just in sweats. I picked this location as the food photos here look great and it was close to where we were. The facade of the restaurant looked plain with its sign. I peeked and I can see that the restaurant is posh and I was worried about being in sweats but other diners were also just simply dressed so we walked in.The moment you walk into the door, you’re like in a different country. It just feels good being there. As for food - lots of options but the appetizers were good enough for us plus the shrimp paste rice. It is pricey but portions are big and we even had lots of left overs - good for another meal so it was totally worth it. If I were to come back and I am sure I will, I will just order the sampler platter and the rice - all good. I will skip the Tamarind Chicken - it is good but it is similar in taste with Sweet and Sour or General Tao chicken that you could get from Manchu Wok.This place is suitable for a girls night out, a date or a family get-together!Highly recommend it but giving it just 4 stars because of the Tamarind Chicken which was already part of the sampler and we didnt know that because the server said there was an error in the menu and we couldn’t have known. ?

Tasty food, friendly staff, and a nice environment. Parking is close to the hotel but may be difficult to find if someone is new to the area. Overall it's a nice addition to downtown Markham.

Beautiful restaurant and staff are friendly. High end Thai restaurant - tasty but pricey.
