No draft beer available on the day I visited.Price is a bit high but the seating is comfortable and no need to wait in line.Great service, always fill water for us.Soup base is flavourful and not overly salty. Ramen texture is great! It’s in the thin side but still chewy when I’m half way through. Will revisit again!
Right off Hwy 7 in the back of a small square adjacent to Tom Hortons.Non descript store front but when you enter surprisingly a nice modern interior with table and counter seating.Ordered the clam shiyo ramen and pork bone broth pork ramen. You can really taste the clams/ocean in the clear soup while the pork bone soup was a thicker creamer consistency. Both ramen were flavorful and filling.Minus 1 star as any additional topping will require an extra charge (eg. add Egg $2)Also ordered the Tako wasabi, raw octopus with wasabi and seaweed, I've had this in other places, this one so far is my favorite. All in all, an unexpected nice dining experience.
Been here a couple of times. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, good ramen, decent portions, good menu selection, great flavours, consistent and delicious. Everything you want from a ramen place. ?
The place is cosy and the server is nice and helpful. The original tonkasu & black ramen taste are good and the karaage is crisy and yummy. I and my family of 3 are enjoyed tonight. Thank you.
At every ramen place, I like to try and compare their classic shoyu ramen and the broth was SO GOOD. I love that they add shredded pieces of pickled ginger and the experience was great. Ramen egg is an additional $2 just an fyi. The servers were attentive to our needs and my water glass was never emptied. Wish this location got as much attention as other locations but m I’m SO glad they have one closer to home!
The quality of ingredients used in the karage and tonkotsu ramen is truly top-notch as far as free GTA is concerned!Prominent presentation and fantastic flavours are staples of Konjiki. The staff are highly attentive and perfectly polite. Will certainly be returning!
They make dam good ramen and quick service
? $45 was our total billFoods ordered: shio ramen + egg, tonkatsu ramen super sizedReason for rating: good ramen here but points taken off for a couple of things. The pork here is paper thin, gotta order some sides to keep you and your s/o happy and full. You also need to pay an extra $2 for an egg here. Most ramen shops if not all always include it in the ramen. I enjoy how the soup wasn't overly salty too. Karage was good.
We have been at the Yarkdale location once and were really impressed with the quality of food. Have noticed also have anorher location in Markham in which much convenient for us. So, we have decided to give it a try this afternoon. We have ordered 2 signature Clam Shoyu Ramen and appetizer platter. Unfortunately were upset with the outcome. We think that should be related to the management. 1st, both platter and ramen came at the same time. The platter should be act as the appetizer and should served before the ramen instead. If they both served at the same time, what should customer eat 1st? Not only the problem of the serving sequence, the quality of the items with the platter weren't good as well. The Chicken Karaage was over cooked and very salty. Probably they have fried the chicken together with the Tonkatsu with the same time frame. The rest of the other items weren't impressed either. Then, came to the ramen, the soup base wasn't as good as the Yarkdale location and the ramen wasn't chewy. It seems ramen has been sitted in the soup for a while before bringing to us. We can tell from the temperature of the soup. It supports should be so hot that you couldn't put it into your mouth immediately. But the soup was at the ready to serve temperature. Even the Markham location price tag is cheaper than the Yarkdale but we rather pay a bit more for a better experience.
I always love going to Konjiki and have been a fan since they opened their first restaurant in North York. Their broth is always consistently flavourful and I always come away with a craving satisfied! They are Michelin star rated and you’ll see why when you try their ramen and broths. A little more costly that’s other ramen places but worth it in my opinion . Try their clam based broth for lighter flavour and their smokey black pork based broth for a deeper flavour.
