The goat roti is amazing. I also strongly recommend the jerk chicken and Jamaican patties. You can taste the freshness and authenticity of the curry. The place is always clean and the staff are welcoming.
How I've missed Island Foods since they closed their mainstay location at King and Dufferin.I was so delighted to discover this recently-opened takeout location near to my place of business.It offers the exact versions of all of the dishes I grew so fond of at their previous location. This establishment is impeccably clean and professional and the gentleman who serves me every time I've been in is proficient and I've never had a mistake in my order, (over 10 now).Thank you Island Foods Express, you're doing all of the right things..

I came here yesterday with my girlfriend so she could try West Indian food for the first time. We ordered the veggie and goat curry dinners, which were both exceptionally tasty! The staff were super friendly and it wasn’t a long wait. We will definitely be back
Food is good and tasty. Portions are good, however amount of meat is lacking for the price. Taste makes up for it to an extent.Bonus, they serve Micheadean's patties,Caution on the boneless chicken though, mine had 2 bones, a small pointy one, I caught as I was eating and a larger one that I didn't mind cleaning up of it's meat.
If I could give more stars, I would! Ordered deconstructed chicken curry with roti and also ordered doubles. Honestly, the food was outstanding! The curry chicken was so flavourful and quite a big portion, and the doubles just took me back to my youth. There was a doubles place at Yonge and Dundas which I used to go to, and today’s doubles reminded me of that place. Not overly oily, and the chana had a nice flavour as well, and of course the tamarind sauce takes it over the top. It was reasonably priced as well. I called the place to let them know of my utmost joy. We tend to call to complain, rather than praise. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I HIGHLY recommend!!
Stopped in for lunch today. Got the goat curry roti with hot sauce and it was excellent (and reasonably priced!). I’ll definitely be back.
Tried this place for the first time. Using their online ordering system, I ordered a curry chicken roti for takeout. The ordering process was smooth and painless, and my food was ready when I arrived.The roti tasted good, and the portions were good - not too much, not too little. The texture of the roti was perfect. I will be coming back to try other menu items.
Absolutely amazing... I'm from out of town, and this gem is just down the street from my hotel...I had a goat roti, a regular roti with sauce, and a double....Wow...It was exactly what I remember from growing up in Toronto, and will be returning before I leave.Also... they make their own sauces, I suggest the scotch bonnet.
Hello, have been to your location a couple of times now. The food is not too bad, but I would like to make a few suggestions that may benefit your establishment. 1. Increase the serving sizes of roti and rice dishes. 2. Your prices are very good, but if you increase the prices by $2.00 to cover the bigger portions, I think you will get alot more repeat customers. 3. Change your curry powder. The one that is being used does not have much flavour and seems a bit watery in preparation. There is great potential in this business especially at this location. I want you guys to succeed.
