As a sweet tooth lover, I really recommend this place. The sweetness is just right, not overly sweet. Adding Japanese-style roasted tea makes for a very enjoyable afternoon tea.
The bread is very buttery and soft, and the filling is creamy and flavourful! You must try!
The buns seem really appealing online and in pictures but the bun itself was dry and not fluffy, just not baked well. The cream inside wasn't bad and they were refrigerated which is just contributed to the dryness of the bread. Tasted like overnight bread from Asian bakeries. It also wasn't cheap so won't be back.
Buns are fluffy. Cream fillings are light and not so sweet. Personal top picks are chestnut, custard, red bean and black sesame.
The proliferation of Japanese culture through food continues across the GTA with this Hiroshima OG bakery shop. Cream buns whether with a crispy top or just soft as-is have cream fillings like milk tea, matcha, red bean, and others. They're good but wished they were bigger, I can eat mine in four bites and that's about a buck a bite as each bun is about four bucks. At least no tax charged if you get a half dozen. Hopefully the price goes down when the novelty wears off. Friendly service.
So unfortunately I didn't get to try all of the different buns I wanted. But I got the custard, whipped cream, chocolate and matcha bun. And all of them were so so good. Incredibly light and fluffy. The yuzu tea ice blend was so refreshing and light. The citrus flavor was lovely and had the perfect amount of sweetness. ?
buns good. I like apple
? I feel sorry to have some expectation, the buns are soso. Yet the front desk staff got a stinky face! She didn’t smile throughout the process! I am new so I ask is there something new? She said What!—————————-? the store is being funny now, so after seeing their reply, email out on overall experience. No respond. I feel bad to take their words seriously
great and delicious food. price is good
Taste good, the custard is not too sweet.
