This is my favourite place for sushi and I eat here almost every other day. I told them it was my birthday today and they sent over my regular order just as a GIFT. This might not have costed them a lot but the gesture itself is priceless. Thank you so much for making my day even special.
The fish was fresh, tasty, clean, and affordable! I especially love that it is made to order. You can tell that the chef puts in a great deal of effort to make sushi that is as close to the dine in experience as possible. Clean and kind services. large combo party tray & Kiss me roll is amazing !!! I’ve tried a lot of sushi (both dine in and take out) over the years and this place offers the best flavors, presentation and service. I will be going back.
Ordered the large maki roll tray and was not disappointed. The order was ready in about 1/2 hour on a Friday night and the service was very friendly. The variety in the tray is excellent and the smell is really amazing. Everything was nice and fresh and the rice was just enough to not overpower the other ingredients. We'll definitely be returning.
Their sushi is amazing! Sashimi is fresh and such high quality. They also have the best presentation for any take out sushi place I've seen! See photos for our order of salmon sashimi, salmon pressed and kiss me roll which was perfect for 2 people. This is our go to sushi place for Keanna and I.
5-stars for Hanki! #supportlocalMy sister and I were in the neighbourhood and we placed our order online in advance for pick-up (Hanki does not do dine-ins).I ordered the Chirashi (variety of sashimi with seasoned sushi rice) and the sashimi was delicious and so fresh! Really, it’s the only thing you hope for when you order this type of dish.I wanted to flag that if you order Chirashi for takeout, it’s best to consume within 15 minutes. The rice was hot which meant the assorted sashimi placed on top of it would be “cooking” while you’re on your way home. I ate it the moment I got back to my car and could see the salmon was changing to a light orange colour. Still delicious though! Perhaps, the rice can be separated from the assorted sashimi? I think that’ll be better because hot rice and fresh sashimi don’t mix well in a takeout box.
There are so many sushi restaurants in Markham yet Hanki Sushi stands out. I ordered a 40pc platter. Each single piece is beautifully crafted. As I savoured each bite, the presentation on the platter a pleasure to look at. I tasted textures and flavours I never tasted before in Canada. I inspected each piece and could not find a single flaw.Sushi is a simple. It takes a technician, an artist, and craftsman to make it taste good. I see elements of all 3 in Hanki Sushi.
There are only handful of sushi restaurants our family would enjoy. Hanki is by far one of the best quality sushi restaurants. We love the Craftsmanship and beautiful presentation. I have to drive quite a distance to get these trays, however they are so worth it! I envy the people who live close-by. If you haven’t been here you must try!
Overall very good sushi! The rice is fresh and not sticky or cold, the fish is always delicious and they have a huge selection so there’s choices for everyone! My favourite roll is their dynamite roll, but I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve order from there! Can be a little pricey but is definitely worth it if it’s in your budget! Best sushi spot in Boxgrove!
This sushi place was recommended by my manager and I am glad we tried it out ! You can always tell the quality of the sushi the first thing you open up the party platter (see picture for reference). We ordered two party platters and it came to about $80 for 3 of us adults and it was way too much to eat! Their online ordering system was user friendly and simple so I didn’t have to call in to order. Raw fish was fresh and they don’t give you the ones you don’t like (the red or pink tunas), good quality rice was used as well and it doesn’t “fall apart” when you pick it up with your chopsticks. Would have loved to have less ginger and more wasabi in the two party platters along with soy sauce. Definitely will order from Hanki again and recommend it to friends and family !
