Best price for value! See what my friends did with Hainan chicken rice.I came across this restaurant when I was visiting T&T, there was a lineup in front of the door. I decided to try it out. The food is so so cheap and authentic. At today’s inflation, it’s hard to see how they were able to maintain the old price, but they did. I think it’s that’s probably why it’s so poplar.
Overrated...food is average at best...the Hainanese chicken looked nothing like other reviews...the rice was just plain white rice. The BBQ pork had a weird taste. Maybe they had a different chef that day??And the place is VERY small...fits 22 customers only.
Relatively cheap eats with the right portion.Hainan chicken: my favourite dish! The rice is soaked with chicken broth.Raman meal: comes with a toast and very light soupOne of my favourite Chinese food places to go in Markham:)
So many dishs under 10 bucks you can find nowhere. The less expensive food no means lower quality. Only one concern is you need extra time waiting for the low capacity seating.
3.5 stars.Located in the Langham Place plaza with - small surface lot and many crazy drivers but there plenty of parking underground to charge up that appetite. In search of my next goto HK cafe, stopped by this establishment to try out their famous Baked Pork Chop rice. The portion sizes are generous for the price 9.85 all in and that's with tax!The included drink (HK tea/ coffee) came out lickity split but the entree took it's needed time (there is no water/ tea provided). When the meal arrived, it was piping hot and well put together. The sauce is a little light (quantity and taste), the pork chop was moist and could use a little more seasoning also but had good flavour none the less. The fried rice was a pass. More like freshly cooked rice that was mixed in with a scrambled egg than being fried and seasoned.I may try out the other offerings (beef brisket or the sandwiches) for another take. It's a decent offering with competitive pricing.
Busy little HK cafe! Portion for the Hainanese Chicken Rice ($9.75) and mixed sauce baked rice with chicken and pork chop ($9.75) are on the smaller side, without the French toast the rice wouldn't be filling at all, but at just under $10 each, it's acceptable I guess.French toast was hot and yummy!
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm. It was very busy with most tables full, and several people lined up to pick up take out/order take out. If you are looking for fast in and out, no frills service, this is the perfect place. The space is small, food is typical HK Cafe style flavour, value is good for what you get. Just a heads up, your clothes will smell likely because the space is small, and the ventilation is not great and the parking in this plaza is small. We ordered daily special (B) Pan Fried Pork Chop & Sweet Chicken Wings Omelet with Rice and (E) Baked Pork Chop & Chicken Steak with Black Pepper & Tomato Sauce on Fried Rice. Both meals were tasty, had good presentation and decent portion size. Egg was not too runny, meat in both dishes were tender and tasty. A complementary hot drink is included with the meal. We ordered a Hong Kong Style Coffee and an Almond Milk. Both were served steaming hot and hit the spot. Would go again if in the area.
Traditional HK style tasty food. The price and service are very good. Lots of people when I was there!

We placed Uber pick up order. HK style milk tea came with the meals which made it a great deal. Pork chop with black pepper sauce was awesome.
