Sorry, no!I've had better bubble waffle/eggette/whatever you call it before. These are soggy, soft, and missing one very important ingredient, aroma. At $4.50 per order, you can do a better job.$5-$10 per person
It's disappointing to see a loved business decline. I still recall when they first opened, the enthusiastic male owner explained his history in egg waffles and introduced his products, courteously advised of wait times during busy periods.Fast forward to 2022, I'm not sure if there was any change to the management but it is ran considerably different. Shop staff primarily speak Mandarin and many menu items are in simplified Chinese, so you question it's "authentic Hong Kong roots".Yesterday when we went, there was 1 customer in front of us that took a long time to decide what to order. Once the ordered and stepped aside, the cashier proceeded to have extended discussion with other staff while tapping their cellphones and didn't acknowledge us for a while. We said we're ready to order but was brushed away that they were busy. It then seems they did the math wrong for the prior customer's order.It felt very rude and awkward that they assumed we should just wait at the front of the line in front of them while they did something on their personal phones. No explanation, no "sorry", no "just a minute", just look up at us and then back to whatever they did and a huge look of disgust when we finally tried to order. Then all of a sudden waved the other people to come snug right in to talk when we were standing right there...no "excuse me" or telling us to move for the other customers, just wave for people to come right to our face.Egg waffles are decent when we get them, but the lack of new flavours or innovation for years leaves not much to desire, beyond bad customer service.
Well-priced egg waffle with lots of flavours to choose from. I tried the original flavour, and the taste is good for Canada. It’s still missing some egg flavour from HK. Will be back to try other flavours.
Egg waffles are OK - original flavor was good but the pork floss waffles were a bit hard. Overall, waffles not as soft in the centre and crispy on the edges as they could be. I waited a few minutes for the egg waffles and they were kind of cold so mine weren't freshly made IMO. I bought 2 waffles and it came with a free drink which is a plus!
I was at First Markham Place and saw a queue for this place so I decided to try it.I couldn't decide on which flavour to try (they have a variety) and ended up getting the original. I also got the grapefruit green tea and the lemon iced tea.1) Original EggletThe egg waffles came after about five minutes (it was quite busy and the lady said it would take around that time). They had a heat lamp to keep it nice and warm. They were soft and tasty and I wish I got another one with filling (I saw a lot of people getting the mochi and the strawberry one as well).2) Grapefruit Green TeaThe grapefruit green tea had a good flavour but even though I asked for less sugar, I still found it to be sweet. It comes with coconut jelly.3) Lemon Iced TeaI enjoyed this drink more than the grapefruit. It wasn't too pricey either (just like their HK milk tea).Overall, I would come back and try another waffle with filling and their other drinks as well (they have a combo for the waffle plus drink). They also only take cash but they do e-transfer.

Best place for eggette waffles love the entire menu there. Drinks are amazing there as well and friendly staff highly recommend
When I think of HK egg waffles, Eggette and toast delight comes to mind, maybe Eggette a bit more lol They have durian flavoured waffles here and inside every little pocket is a burst of durian. SO GOOD! Milk tea, original, pork floss and seaweed are my other faves. They make it right here: crunchy on the outside but soft and pillowy on the inside. The original is ESPECIALLY light and crispy, probably because it's not weighed down by any added flavours or toppings. Its my all time fave.However, if you want to keep your eggettes crispy, careful not to close the bag (+ consume ASAP) as the condensation will make the waffles soft.
It's never easy during Covid times. We'd like to support local merchants as much as possible. The egg waffles are okay but not superb. They did bring back childhood memories and taste better than the ones in the food court.What I'm disappointed is the black sugar bubble tea. The bubbles were not chewy at all. They're cylindrical in shape. The drink tasted very artificial. Worst of all, both my husband and I had diarrhea right after. I'm not sure if it's due to the egg waffles or the bubble tea. I blame it on the bubble tea because it tasted so outlandish. Guess we won't be back any time soon!
Became a fan of durian egg waffle after trying this. It was delicious. Highly recommend.I came back for another time. I love their new package bag. So cute.
