Food was just ok but customer service was amazing esp. Bernice, very friendly and very attentive.
Very poor quality food, and not worth at all. The seafood charcuterie board was a joke. 4 pieces of ahi tuna that was taken out of a Costo frozen tuna box. The calamari was over cooked and bland. My burger patty was dried and overcooked. And my fried ordered the salmon bowl and left the rice noodles almost untouched because they were really bad. Never going back!
Quiet place for an early breakfast on weekend. Not busy area and very cozy dining seat and table. Good service. Coffee or tea is included without additional charge. Can also be refilled. Food is just by average. Serving period is between 6-11:30am. Will definitely try next time for dinner.
I am a half way through my 2 weeks stay here and I am appalled by the service level so far. The front desk personnel are friendly and very polite (everyone here is) and are very pleasant to interact with. Then they look into your eyes with a smile and lie to you over and over. Or a kinder interpretation of their actions may be that they are just so unorganized and untrained that they have absolutely no idea what they are doing. When I checked in, my room was very dusty and the floor did not seem to have been vacuumed. I requested to have the room cleaned but my request was too late to be followed though the following day so I had to wait 2 days to see the room cleaned. I was told that the cleaning schedule was assigned the evening before and the cut off time was quite early in the evening. On Tuesday night, I requested the room cleaned every other day as room cleaning was only done on request, I was told. And I missed the cut off time so I would not get my room cleaned on Wednesday but I was assured that they would clean my room and get me fresh towels on Thursday. So Thursday evening, last night, I came back to see my room not cleaned. No fresh towels. Unbelievable. So I went down to the front desk to politely complain. The front desk person didn’t apologize but assured me, guaranteed me, that it was going to be cleaned the following day. I asked him if he was certain and he told me that it was already scheduled to be cleaned. Fast forward to tonight - I just returned to my room after a long day and guess what? The room was not cleaned!!! I went down to the front desk and spoke with an assistant manager, Josh. I understand that Rogers internet was down all day and that made everyone’s life difficult and I sympathize but wow. You pay 300+ CAD/night and get ONE room cleaning per week?? What? A youth hostel provides a better service. Shame on you Marriott! I am curious to see if my room will get cleaned tomorrow. At this point I will be rather surprised if it happens. I am seriously contemplating moving to another hotel for the next 7 nights… I will post an updated review when I checkout in one week or in one day. Stay tuned.
First off I never write reviews but feel compelled to because of how poorly run this hotel is. This hotel is modern overall and appears to be newer, however, upon arriving at our room my husband found a condom wrapper in between the sofa cushions as he was about to pull out the sofa bed. In addition, the hotel for the life of them didn't have enough blankets for my children. We called 2 nights in a row and gave up by the last 2 nights. They just kept giving us sheets to use as blankets, I'm not sure I understand how a hotel can run out of blankets. Also, beware, they don't offer room cleaning everyday, it is something you have to request which we were not told the night we checked in. I understand everywhere is understaffed but my point being is they never even offered the service to us to begin with. Upon asking for the service the next morning, they told us the schedule would not allow for us to be included that day. Mind you, at that point they still did not mention you had to request it for every day of your stay. We then checked in again the following day, they finally mentioned you are suppose to request it for each day. Even after asking for it (we had 2 rooms) the other room did not get the service. One other nuance is my mother had to call 3 times before they understood we had wanted to extend our stay for one night (at the frontend). Upon check in we triple confirmed we would not have to switch rooms the following day to which they said we wouldn't need to move however they deactivated our room key card because the system "checked us out" for the one night. We then had to re check in and go through all the paperwork and card submission once again. It was such a nightmare from the beginning, although the hotel is in a pretty convenient location beware of all these nuances. I am not sure I will stay here again, besides convenient location, everything else was a nightmare.
A restaurant that I have been more in the last two years than any other, and every time I am here sitting at my favorite table enjoying the food and the ambiance I say to myself, I am glad I decided to come here again !! As I have mentioned in my previous reviews, thereâs no other place I would rather go, to relax with a few drinks and nibbles. The layout of the restaurant, distance between tables, comfortable seating, friendly knowledgeable staff, selection of menu, all contributing to the perfect package. I especially want to mention our server Justine tonight, she has the sweetest and warmest smiles :)
Nice place when you want to have a quiet place to chat
Our server, whoâs name I think was Emma, was lovely. She was really kind and checked in on us from time to time. Food was honestly mediocre. The truffle fries didnât taste like there was any truffle at all. Would only recommend just for the patio.
The coffee tastes like water. Overall the food is average.
Very nice place! Beautiful bar and dining area.Good selection of cocktails. We enjoyed the breakfast as well.Kinda pricey thought. But if you're in the area, check it out.
