Demetres Downtown Markham is one of my favorite dessert places. Bright, clean and spacious. Great ambiance. Love their stylish decor and interior design. Their architectural arrangements, bold flower wallpaper and matching pastel furniture are absolutely stunning. Great customer service. The server was welcoming and courteous. Their menu was very cute. We ordered their 10 scoops of ice cream dessert and shared with our party of 7. It was not disappointed. Well presentation! Their americano was also great. Strongly recommend to those chocaholics. There are many tasty recipes to satisfy your sweet tooth.
My fav go to place for dessert!always came here for their honey vanilla ice cream and waffles. literally one of the best ice cream I ever tried in Toronto. I would say a perfect taste for me, because it's not too sweet yet still tasty!! Not to forget the cute and nice ambiance for their interior.Highly recommend : 9/10
Great desserts. It's pricey for dessert but you get your value because of the large portions. "One scoop" of ice cream is more like 2.5 scoops, so you really don't need any more than one scoop. The waffles and milk shakes are pretty good too. Mango sorbet is a really tasty dairy free vegan option.
The atmosphere was fantastic! The staff were very friendly. The service was excellent. The desserts were amazing! The vibes were relaxing. A great family friendly atmosphere. Lots of selection on their menu for sweet treats. Overall experience was 12/10! We definitely come back with my family.

Went for desserts with my family on a busy Saturday. We had to join the waitlist but thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long to be seated. We ordered a variety of desserts. My personal favourites were the matchamatics, matcha say, and the puddin on the ritz. As you can tell, I love matcha. All the desserts were presented well and tastes really good. Maybe because it was really busy but the ice cream scoops were smaller than usual and the Belgian waffle was not as crispy. Aside from that, the place was also very spacious and clean, and the service was pretty good. One of my go too spots for crepes and waffles.
As far as dessert restaurants go, Demetres still edges up above d spot and the others.The perfect way to end a night out at the movies or dinner with a date. You really can't go wrong with any choice on the menu, but I'd point out that the drinks are underrated. The matcha icecream and waffles were delicious and the hot chocolate absolutely slaps.I'll always have an eye out for Demetres wherever I am!
Went there on April 19 around 9pm. The girlserver wearing glasses was so rude, bad service.My friend and I went there for some sweets and little chats. We only ate about half of our food, then the server suddenly came to us with poker face and rude attitude “DO YOU WANT TO PAY THE BILL.” I pointed out half-finished food and asked to pay after we are done. The server said “Okay” and leave. We started to feel kinda bad to be interrupted. I don’t understand why the server rush us without any explanations or any reasons. Then we noticed the server turns to the other two tables who came in later then us, and asked them to pay. They decided to pay the bill and leave quickly. When she’s done cleaning those tables, she came to us again to rush us to pay the bill. I was feeling so bad at the moment, so we paid and leave immediately. There wasn’t many customers at that time, only about 5 tables. There was the other table served by another girl, they had finished long ago, but nobody’s there rushing them, they had there little chats nice and quiet.This was a really bad experience. Bad service really affect our feelings about the store. Especially for a desert shop which should create happy moments. I’ll never choose this store for desert.
All Demetres skimp out on toppings compared to a few years ago but overall the food is still good.This location has particularly slow service though, and servers were not friendly/attentive after we were seated. We tried to flag multiple individuals down for the bill but were sometimes ignored.
The desserts were yummy. They took our order and gave us our desserts fast but when it came to getting the bill it was like pulling teeth. There were 4 tables at once waiting for the bill. It was hard to get the waiter's attention. We sat for at least another 20-30 minutes after finishing waiting for the bill. They probably needed more staff that night.
