Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is very delicious. The presentation of the food is very colourful and picture worthy. They have generous portions of meat in all their meals. They have some interesting flavours of Pad Thai with lobster also as an option for the meat. Highly recommend this place.
Popular place in south Markham. Unique Thai cuisine compared to most GTA areas. Good food and service.During our stay, we have to replace glass and cutlery due to cleanliness. I hope the restaurant's manager will pay attention to. Otherwise, we had a wonderful experience.
We were just there for a weekday lunch. We had the calamari, papaya salad, khao soi, green curry and pineapple fried rice: all really good. I loved the restaurant decor, and the service was exceptional. The ladies were all so sweet and considerate, especially this one lady who served us, I'd come back just for the service. They even brought out a pretty plate of cheesecake for my friend's birthday with candles and all, singing, it was cute. Highly recommend this place.
The food here looks phenomenal, with a rich use of colours. The flavours are nicely balanced and well seasoned, you can taste each ingredient that was put in. Spicy dishes are not too spicy as well. The wait here can be a bit for dine in, as we waited 30 minutes to be seated. There is also a seating time limit so be mindful in larger groups.Would recommend trying if you’re in general area looking for Thai food
Went out to dinner at Chiang Rai Thai Kitchen with some friends who recommended this as one of the best Thai restaurants near Markham/Richmond Hill. The decor creates a very trendy vibe as a good place to grab dinner with friends, however due note that there is a seating limit of 1h 15 minutes.Came in with high expectations and came out not disappointed. The portions were decently sized and the food has rich flavours. The medium hot was the perfect level of heat for someone with slightly above spicy tolerance.Reason for 4 stars instead of five is that the food was a little too salty for my personal preference, however my friends did not think their food was too salty. The timing on everyone's dish was a little off. My dish was served maybe 15 minutes before my friends dish was served.
Very yummy uptown Thai food! Very authentic and tasty! The decor is very nice, a bit of street style, seating was comfortable, service was attentative, very satisfying. Love the soups so much, and the coconut rice with the green curry is a must try! Tom yum pad Thai was very well done as well, I like my noodles not too soft, and they did a spectacular job!
I was a last night on a date and it was really fantastic. Starting with the appetizer, we ordered the chicken satay with the peanut sauce; it was so delicious and yummy. At first I thought I wouldn’t enjoy the sauce but I did.For the main dish, we ordered the pineapple fried rice with beef. The second main dish was the pad Thai with beef and shrimp. The ambiance of the restaurant was really nice. The music was very catchy and viby (if that’s a word lol)I also love the way they presented the food. It was super cute and aesthetically pleasing. Both the starter and the main were presented very nice. The reason why I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because I had asked for straws. I needed to drink water ‘cause I was fasting all day. The staff came back to ask for my protein but didn’t bring any straw. After multiple attempts to get a staff to bring me straws, I finally got another staff to get me a straw.- The other reason was that we got served our main dish before our starter. I think that was it.Overall, I’d definitely recommend this restaurant.Parking: 9/10 - we found parking very quicklyExperience: 9/10 - overall experience was okayService: 8/10 - the staff were nice, but could be a little more attentiveEnvironment: 10/10 - absolutely loved it!
Take Out Experience We decided on Thai for one of our Saturday family dinners. We wanted to eat at home and all of us were craving Thai food. I decided on Chiang Rai as I have eaten there before and not had their food in a while. We decided on Chicken Satay, Crispy Chicken, Thai Calamari, Pad See Ew and Pineapple Fried Rice. The order came quite fast and it was still steaming hot when Uber-eats dropped it off. The portions were a good size and there were leftovers. All of the dishes were amazing, just like we were eating at the restaurant. Everyone was happy and full after their meals. We are certainly going to go back and eat there sometime in the near future. Oh here we go….This is a good one. If you don’t read through the whole review let me sum Chiang Rai up for you: Great decor, delicious food, incredible presentation. Go there. Now for those who want a more detailed review, let’s dive right in. My parents always come to me for food recommendations and Chiang Rai was on my list of places to review so I thought I would bring them along for the journey as it gives me the opportunity to sample a few dishes by sharing with them. First and foremost the inside of the restaurant was beautiful, the decor was bright and stunning which right off the bat puts you in a good mood. The staff were incredibly friendly which is naturally a huge plus.Just like every other place during covid, the menus were digital however my mother had forgotten her glasses at home and the staff had no issue giving her a hard copy of the menu (I know it’s something minor but we greatly appreciated that). The pricing is exactly what you would expect to pay at a sit-down Thai restaurant but the food….the food.We decided to start off with some appetizers, we got the Thai rolls and the fish cake and both were delicious. I was personally a big fan of the fish cake and the sauce it was served with. Onto the mains, I was personally intrigues by the Tom-Yum Pad Thai, we also ordered the Royal Pad Thai and the Basil Stir Fry.I will start with my personal favourite; the Royal Pad Thai was DELICIOUS, the egg crepe on top was such a nice touch and adds a whole other dimension of flavour to the dish. The Tom-Yum pad Thai was an interesting take on a classic and would definitely suggest it if spice is something you prefer. I personally wasn’t a fan of the Basil Stir Fry HOWEVER I am not a fan of basil in general, my parents are huge fans of basil hence why they ordered it and they absolutely loved it. One other point to touch on is the presentation of all the dishes, it was top tier. It’s always nice when a restaurant goes the extra mile to make the food look good.I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience here and will definitely be back. If 6 stars were possible I would give it to them.
Good good good!! Taste perfect with great presentation. Lots of choices. Staffs polite and attentive. Clean and comfortable environment. A bit pricy but it worth for the quality of food. It’s one of my best choice in up town of Toronto. Must try!!
