I visited this place for takeout coz my mom had a sudden crave for 油條 and 粽. Price is good, food is tasty, but the wait time is ridiculously long. Almost 30 minutes.
A Cantonese fast food take-out joint in the Food Court of Chartwell Centre, made to order fresh rice rolls and piping hot congee to instantly warm you up, good quality and economical for lunch or snack.
I like this place. Their rice noodle is delicious and congee is pretty good ! We enjoy it everytime !
Shrimps rice rolls: shrimps are not soak and soft enough, and the rice roll not thin enough. The minced meat (pork) in the Congee is chewy and not edible - perhaps using low-quality meat portion. The Meat baos (buns) are however, decently full and tasty - also with unchewable meat portions. Out of my radar.
Great price and quality! Very tasty for food court fast food! Super friendly customer service as well. Highly recommended!
Their food is really good and their price is reasonable. Strongly recommend!
You can never go wrong with the price tag, food quality and quantities it has. A congee combo is only 7.75 ( tax included) which include 1. Congee 2. Rice noodle roll OR 1. Congee 2. A sandwich 3. A hot drink.
There are three Cantonese restaurants. You can eat all kinds of Chinese fast foods.
It was Good place!! Taste and price Good.Combo $7
High end glamorous dining? No. Decently tasty and solid quality for the price? Yes! I have the discount card which brings the cost down to a nearly unbeatable level.Located in the food court of a small plaza, when standing at the counter you can see the entire kitchen and the skill of the cook working at the wok.Phoning in your order is a good idea at dinner time whether picking up or sitting at the food court. The steamed half chicken and the stir fry beans, plus the steamed rice and self-serve tea, is good for two. So the rating is based in large part on the value of the dining.By the way, if you are unfamiliar with Chinese style steamed half chicken, then you should know that it is served cold here. Do not be alarmed by the colour of the meat or that areas around bone may be reddish. The chicken is cooked to a very specific level to keep it moist and tender while safe to eat. The skin should be eaten with the meat for your full enjoyment of the dish. The chicken is pre-chopped for your dining convenience so watch for little bone fragments. These are not criticisms of the dish, just FYIs for those trying it for the first time.Enjoy!Update March 2019: Hmmm, the place I know as Canton Kitchen still has a store front operating but right next to it is Canton Noodle so don't know what is going on with the location identification here in Maps. Nevertheless, CK continues to serve up tasty food in good portions representing great value for your dollar. The half chicken alone costs just about $6 with the discount card. And you can opt for the soya version if you find that more appealing. (And, yes, a whole rotisserie chicken is arguably an even better deal at Costco.)
