They specialize in croissants, with a variety of Asian-influenced flavors such as milk tea and matcha cream, but there is also a good selection of other types of pastries and cakes. I love their soft mochi cookies the most. The store is clean, and each food item is individually wrapped in a plastic package, which is a plus in this pandemic.
Their pastries are little bit pricy, but taste good. Strawberry shortcake and green tea tiramisu were tasty (although they gave us that by mistake, we ordered tiramisu instead) sesame chiffon roll tasted good but too dry. But we made a mistake to order the chatime topical trio fruit teas there. We ordered mango tango, grape escape, guava lave and a strawberry green tea. I tried first cup, felt… refresh, different, interesting… but when I tried all 4 cups, all tasted very very similar. Boring artificial flavor, color, can’t taste any real fruit. I will back to the milk tea next time, feel more safe.
I guess fortunately I've tried Bake Code downtown and that was a dream: Bake Code Markham was far from that quality in terms of its croissants. I was hoping to find the same experience as the downtown location but Markham location was hugely disappointing :( perhaps they focus more on the Chattime drinks than the croissants. The croissants were smaller and the fillings were maybe half full, also a bit dry. Really wanted to like this place that I tried it 3 times. All the same result.
Prices are a bit high but there are some unique pastries offered here. The taro and Thai milk tea croissants were pretty interesting! Service can be a bit slow and there are no clear indicators as to where the line up should be - sometimes customers who are in line first get served last?
This spot always feels a bit cramped especially at night but the selection during the day is impeccable. The longer the day goes, the fewer stuff is there. I get the impression they probably don't quite bake as often as they should so by 8 pm usually you have scant varieties. Still, it has evrrhthing you want if you come before 3 pm!
Best molten salted egg yolk croissant in town
I enjoy their drinks and love the Pastries. Although, due to the customer service, I will not go back. It happened one to many times. This time, it's April 29th around 5:20 p.m. and my order was around $35. I paid by card, grabbed a receipt *which I thought was mine, the girl that packed my bag, rips the receipt right out of my hand without hesitation. Very rude! She didn't make no eye contact, no apologies. Lack of mannerisms, unacceptable.
Love all the innovative bakery here :) The croissants are simply amazing! My favourite is definitely the peanut butter and jam croissant and Thai milk tea croissant! So good. Buy 6+ to save on tax!Follow me on Instagram @maggielicious.to for more food adventures

Decent place for your bubble tea needs. Not the greatest but good enough. Baked goods are a bit over-priced compared to other bake shops.
