I was recommended to go here by one of my former professors and it was definitely a great experience! I had the Grilled Ribeye and my colleague had the Half Rack of Lamb. We were both extremely content with how the food was cooked and seasoned. The 16oz Ribeye does have a little spice to it, it makes it different to other steaks I have had in the city, which I personally loved! Portions are really good, you are getting what you paid for, especially for the Rack of Lamb, fantastic pricing! Thanks for the great experience, highly recommend!
Absolutely Devine. The service is spot on, our server had knowledge of the menu and proper wine pairing for our dinner.The menu is simple and everything we ordered came out in a Lovely presentation, even the flavours were well thought out. We appreciate fresh ingredients and of course delicious food!It’s got a nice relaxing vibe for date night or otherwise. This place never disappoints.
This little gem in the heart of the city is one of my favourite places. They hit allThe marks service, food and atmosphere. You can stop for a full sit down meal, or grab a couple drinks and snack on a wide variety apps, or like we did last night used it as a pre stop for our dinner reso. And just had bar drinks and app. Anyway you want it they have it!
Excellent service and delicious food! Had lovely rack of lamb and wine flight, and lots of delicious appetizers (had Mac and cheese, olives, bruschetta).
Second time to dine in here, have to say the artichoke dip didn’t have the sizzling entrance as the first time but the taste was still the same. Very creamy and honestly, we made sure the bowl was clean. My partner and I got the beef tenderloin and the half rack of lamb. Divine dishes! Perfectly cooked and tender, both paired well with the wine we got. Highly recommend if you have not been here yet.
Update, Dec 21/22;It had been a while since we were here so decided to stop in for some apps.Everything below still applies, service is professional, food is great, if you're going downtown London and can get a table definitely get over there and give it a try! You'll be glad you did.Original Review;If you love trendy new dishes that put a new spin on classic dishes and find new and innovative uses for traditional ingredients then you'll love The Tasting Room.We always find something that sounds fun and that we've never seen nor tried before. And they update the menu often.The staff at this restaurant are always friendly, service is fast but not rushed and not only is the food innovative with impressive presentations it's also generous in proportion and represents great value based on the price.We usually just get a few apps to try new things as the few times we've ordered entrees we were unable to finish them.Definitely worth a visit if you're downtown London Ontario.
Best steak I have had in a very long time. Cooked to perfection. Great service and friendly atmosphere.
A little to loud for a quiet dinner and the service could have been more attentive but the lamb we had was really good!
Went for lunch. It was busy but the service was excellent. I had the Asian Stir Fry and quite enjoyed it. It was a bit on the loud side due to how many guests they had, hence 4 stars instead of 5.
Food was pretty good! I'd say half of what we tried was great, half was just okay. Service we pretty good as well. Atmosphere wasn't quite what we expected, it's a bit less formal than the name would suggest.
