For the exception of being very overpriced, the young clerk could not get the order straight. It was rather simple, I ordered the FAMILY PACK WITH 2 MASHED POTATOES, 1 LARGE FRY, AND COLESLAW. The clerk kept repeating the order incorrectly 4 times, on the 5th time of ordering he repeated it back correctly. I waited about 20 minutes for my order to come out, it was sealed so tight with staples I couldn't check the order. When I got home, I cut open the bag and found FAMILY PACK, WITH 2 MASHED POTATOES A LARGE FRY AND A SMALL FRY, 2 DIPPING SAUCE, VERY COLD, NO COLE SLAW. Called back was left on hold......not impressed, not returning. Waist of time and $50....MOT RECOMMENDED.I'll go to Mary Brown's Chicken instead
Table was sticky in areas and staff actually argued with me when I asked if they could give the sticky area another wipe down. "I just wiped it a minute ago. It's not dirty." I asked her to touch the area and she told me, "the tables feel sticky when they get wiped. Some tables have spots that stay sticky but they're clean, okay?", she said as she passed a wet cloth over the table again. I told her thanks but she'd already turned and walked away.Food arrived before the cutlery. Drinks were never refreshed even though I asked for a refill. Had to wait at least 10 minutes for the cheque and another several minutes for a to go box. It wasn't because they were busy, either...there only five other tables in use. The chicken was good, as usual, but the service was terrible from start to finish. Oh...and even though it was absolutely not their fault, the a/c wasn't working.
I just ordered take-out. They said they don’t carry the 32 oz chalet sauce which is online and I showed the woman working there and she told me it’s only an online special for less than 1/2 the price. They handed me the bag and I said do you have the coleslaw no he forgot. I was the only person taking out so there is no excuse that they had missed this. The manager at that location advised that they have never offered 32 oz sauce in their store but it’s online on all the stores in London have it but Fanshawe location. Aren’t they supposed to be all the same…well they’re not. The fries were raw and was only 1/3 filled in the container. The best Swiss Chalet in London is on Wellington Road South. I paid $22.00 and for that money, I shouldn’t have to ask them if they have everything. I shouldn’t have to check to see if they provided the proper amounts of everything. Also , I bought coleslaw and it’s supposed to be 8 oz and it is not. The other stores in London provide me with a larger coleslaw. Terrible service as the manager basically said I was lying about the sauce. Hmmmm do you think that’s good service. I certainly don’t!!!
Went for lunch. No reservations but not very busy. Food was hot. Had the classic 1/4 chicken dinner. No surprises. Not rushed, were able to linger over coffee. ?
If you don't like Swiss chalet dipping sauce then we aren't really going to have anything to talk about; it's always the best day ever when I have my Swiss chalet!
I really don’t go to Swiss Chalet much these days but when I do it’s always great! The chicken is consistently delicious and oh that gravy is sooooo good! This location was nice with pleasant staff. Thank you. ??
The overall food was good enough for the price. The steak ribs were on point, didn't like the gravy tho.
The chicken is run of the mill chain restaurant. The fish was surprisingly good and a whole piece. The fries and coleslaw are good. Soda is 3$ though. Our sever Mr. Yong was very couteous.
don't order on uber eats, they mess up everything.got plain fries instead of a poutine and 2 chalet sauce instead of gravy.the bun is literally an inedible rock.any vegies you get will be steamed to mush.never ordering here again.
Avoid calling in your order. This was the most agonizing experience on the phone yet. No idea where the Masonville location is. Had to help with that after about 3 exhausting minutes of her looking. That was just the beginning. I will spare the details but it’s a call centre in Toronto and my guess is they handle more than Swiss chalet because she had no clue what I was talking about when I said “family meal”.She then gave me the total including “taxes and service charges”.Service charges ? I asked …….she avoided the question and repeated the total.Save tour sanity and go in person.
