Very clean and hosts a nice selection of food. Staff were helpful and courteous. The entrance is a little dark and I assume is meant to set a softer, cozy atmosphere. It is a little overdone. The layout is traditional starting with fruits and leading to meats. Note that the store flow is actually segmented into 2 through some creative placing of the cakes and bread section, that leads to checkout. This does makes it seem smaller than it is. Go round the corner and ignore checkout to access the rest of the store where milk, eggs, frozen section and dried foodstuffs are. This location shares a plaza with Home Depot and that leads to rather packed parking at times.
Well stocked...beautifully laid out for different products, very clean and the staff is so helpful and friendly. Enough parking even for the disabled. Easy access for everyone to do shopping comfortably
Lobsters were on-sale. Arrived at 9:20am to see a sign 'lobsters are 1st come, 1st served - no holds' - tank was full, I asked for 2. Guy working said 'nope, these are all on hold'I come to this Sobeys every New Years for live lobsters. Very disappointed.
Great store! Always well stocked. Meat is very competitively priced. Everything else is slightly more expensive than other obvious brand stores. Produce is a bit on the higher end in price but also in quality. Right next to a Rexall, so they don’t carry a lot of pharmacy-type items. Overall, I recommend this store.
We were very happy to get our turkey today as we wanted a small frozen stuffed one and they are hard to come by.
The quality and freshness of their food is top notch. The younger staff during evenings and weekends are very pleasant; much more so than the day staff. Prices are exorbitant but no more so than your standard high end grocery stores.
Sale prices are great...if they occur. Sobeys as a chain in general doesn't offer the variety of brands or products that similarly sized grocery chains in London regularly offer and, Sobeys remains priced extremely out of the average working single persons budget (not a good value at all for those shopping for an entire family, on a strict grocery budget or on any type of fixed income or pension) and remains strictly and only for the "entitled" 1% in this city.
I prefer the location at Oxford & Wonderland. Staff at that location seem to be more on the ball. This location has a bizarre layout and the produce leaves a lot to be desired. YMMV
Fresh products are not there. Everything way too long on the shelf and in the store. Veggie and fruit, salad and fish are going bad within 2 days. Fish in the rack, packed from the fresh fish display, was having „white hairy“ topping that was definitely not mayonnaise. This is a health concern and not acceptable. Products go way ahead of that visibility bad. Won’t buy at that place (on skyhigh bills) anymore.
I really must comment on how amazing employee, Pam was! She was stacking shelves and I enquired whether she knew where the Capers were. She immediated stopped what she was doing and brightly responded that they were in a rather obscure place. She knew that as she has been asked many times. She added humour and fun as we scurried thru the aisles together! Totally lovely warm employee. Sobeys you have a real Gem in her. I hope you ttuly appreciate how amazing she is.BRAVO Pam! And thank you
