I love this place. I've been eatung there since I was 10 (over 40 years). But I refuse to pay $8 for deliver! EIGHT BUCKS!? Not to mention they are almost always CLOSED.You are not the only Chinese food in London. Other places want business & don't charge unreasonable delivery fees on top of your already over priced food.Sadly, it's time for our relationship to end & for me to find a new Chinese food restaurant.
Neighbours recently recommended as we lamented we had yet to find a Chinese restaurant like TO days. Wow. Soo impressed with our take away. Our first tries were Kung Poa Chicken- this had some heat yet not overpowering, Vermicelli Singapore style- just a bit of kick , ginger chicken balls- sweet by contrast, and a side of Bok Choy-perfect side. This order came with a really large white rice. Delish. To our palettes enough for 4. Great value!
Highly recommend Shanghai Restaurant!! Fast service, amazing food, and the staff gobout of there way for customer satisfaction.I've had Shanghai for YEARS they are my go to Chinese restaurantAnd there prices on there food are very good with top notch quality food!!
Terrible customer service. Our takeout order was over 40 mins late and we even left and came back when they told us to. A line up of people waiting for takeout whose orders they were clearly behind on as well. Also overheard dine-in customers complaining about the slow service. You need to get more staff to help out during your busy times to keep up with orders both dine-in and takeout. Very disappointing.
We enjoyed the food at the Shanghai restaurant. Service was quick and food came out hot, they did forget to bring the soups so we had to ask and they apologized and quickly brought them out.
Tonight my wife, and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner for 2 at this quiet quaint clean, and well mannered staff establishment. The food had the right spice, and flavour along with freshness and good quantity in each plating. Older decor and the restrooms are a little dated, but if your looking for good flavourful food this one will easily be in one of your top 5 selections in London to eat at. Keep up the good work !!
We enjoyed the dinner for 3, everything was hot and fresh. We were the only ones in the dining room! Service was very good and friendly
