An employee patronized my mother and I one day while ordering soup at Piping Kettle. The employee asked us if we wanted a sandwich (if not she would ask us to move somewhere) with no where to really go except for move up in the line. My mother changed her mind and said actually I’ll order a sandwich. The employee said well you said you didn’t want one and started slamming stuff around.I asked her does she have a problem? She said “nope, it’s just you said you didn’t want one” so I said “welp, we changed our mind” it really shouldn’t be a big deal. She proceeded to explain that her frustration was because of Covid guidelines, which we are still confused about her reason.We called to complain and it turns out this employee actually owns the place. We told our friends and family how upset she made us and treated us like we were a bother in her day, especially slamming her utensils down.I hope she is nicer to her customers, because she lost a few.
When I first started to order from here and get veggie sandwich they were actually really amazing and this place quickly became my favourite. Since it was veggies only and cheese they were always generous with them. Now when I order they give me the skimpiest portion ever. It's sad because I really liked this place but it's not worth the money anymore. Last time I ordered spinach my sandwich had like 5 spinach leafs almost no cucumbers on it and I had to supplement it with produce from my fridge because it was 90% bread with the thinnest line of veggies....The veggie layer was almost as thick as the slice of cheese..Incredibly disappointing.
When it comes to a healthy hearty bowl of soup I look no further. Yummy ?They have an amazing selection of soups as well vegan and vegetarian options.They could use a few more vegan selectionsWhich they usually have 2/3 out of 10 choices.Plus they have a 8/9 pm special.Where you get a LG or Supper soup for almost half price off.Plus you can collect points in $ Value.As well free soup on your B day what?.
Yummy food. Lots of selection so there is something for everyone. I’m dairy free and gluten free and I find that there is always more than one option that I can choose from! Staff is really sweet and this is one of my favourite lunch spots in the city as it is super affordable and again, yummy!! … with big portions too :)
Super loyal customer to the piping kettle. Best soup and sandwiches in London. I love how they're just a small establishment too not a chain. Very good food. I want to see more of them but then again I don't want them to become a chain restaurant. Still worth to stop by when im in London.
If I could give 0 stars for customer service I would. Absolutely disgusting attitude from the girls there. Making food with no glove on a hand with an open bleeding cut. When I asked what salads they had she pointed and said “they’re over there”. Like okay few selections you couldn’t tell me? She ignored me twice for my smoothie order, made me wait almost 5 minutes and then told me as I was walking out the door that I had to come back and pay for it. More than 1 poor review about this employee. Young blonde with glasses. Bad customer service is one thing, violating health regulations is another. Will not be returning to this location.
The experience tonight with Max was hands down the best customer service I have ever had. I asked questions about the selection and recommendation and he was bang on! The gnocchi soup is perfect and flavorful. After super long week he took the time to customize a drink and interact with the kids, which during these times is unheard-of. Highly recommended going here and saying hi to Max! Be sure to ask his opinion, you won't be disappointed.
My whole family wasn't keeping well yesterday. We ordered the Pulled pork sandwich and 2 smoothies. It was really refreshing to eat something so homely, without chemicals. I'm never going to timms or McDonalds anymore. Simply loved your food.
I use to enjoy stopping here for a great bowl of Turkey Chili, unfortunately today I found out they do not have ground beef in their chilli. Appears to be replaced with liquid/water? Washrooms not available to customers. No napkins in takeout bag. No thank you Piping Kettle Soup Co
Make sure you order through a delivery app. They usually have 1 staff working on actual in store customers. 2-3 staff filling delivery App orders. Not usually best to go in. Great food though. Always fresh and delicious.
