4.5 out five...Service 5 out of 5Atmosphere and restaurant 5 out of 5Menu 3.5 out of 5Food 4 out of 5Our first visit. Only one visit so please keep in mind, we can't really make a fair decision based on just one visit. We live downtown but have not been here as we usually hit places closer to the core.I must say, service here is EXCELLENT. I was pleasantly surprised. Restaurant service in general certainly isn't what it used to be, but it truly is here. From the time of reservation, to a check in call to our arrival and dinner it was excellent the entire process.Oscar, our millennial who prepared our salad tableside, was the exception. He SPOKE, he had a personality and was witty. Who would have thought he was a millennial! At 18 year of age he most certainly has an advantage over his peers. Great job Oscar, we enjoyed meeting you, customer service is your thing. Anthony was our server and he was great as well, personable, honest, and very efficient. Janis came in and checked in, I am assuming she is some type of manager? She was professional, personable, friendly and great, like the mother coming to check in without blame. The menu is a bit outdated, but I think that is the familiarity that people like and what has kept it relevant for the regulars, for us we had to really pick through the menu to find something we liked, but they are very open to modify your choices. A little costly to modify, but understandable given food prices these days.Bottles of wine were very reasonable priced. Our food was ok. But it was the service that made it excellent. The atmosphere and restaurant was great.5 star gourmet food? --No, but good food.5 star gourmet restaurant and service, YES.Menu, could use updating, loose a few things and modernize it a bit. I hope you treat your staff well as they made the experience. I would come back for the service 100% they made it a perfect night! Thank you Oscar, Anthony and Janice for a great night!

I ordered a $48 Ribeye steak medium rare. It was slightly over cooked and it was tough as shoe leather. I would expect that from a $12 steak not this. Also could have been seasoned better. I think the prices are a bit much for what you get. Staff were great though.

Had a wonderful dinner celebrating my husband birthday. The staff were amazing and the food was superb!!! We had the baked Brie with blueberry\lemon compote to start and table side Caesar salad prepared by Oscar. Our main was prime rib that literally melted in your mouth. The flavours were magnificent. Kudos to the chef. For dessert we had cheesecake that was light and airy and a perfect end to the meal. A special thank you to Kate the bartender who was attentive and very welcoming and super friendly. We will most definitely be back!!

A night on the patio very refreshing, the jazz band playing, the conversations muted, the atmosphere delightful. I began with the peach salad, it was quite delectable. Unfortunately although I was unable to have the steak Diane tonight that is done tableside due to wind and flame it wasn’t feasible. So I decided to try their lamb chops, they were close to perfection. To end the meal I had a Spanish coffee, and a A cognac and Angela actively delicious raspberry cheesecake to top it all off. All in all the wonderful meal. I recommend it to anyone.

We recently celebrated my birthday at Michael's on the Thames. The live music brought elegance of the evening. The food was impeccable...every meal was spot on! My only hesitation regarding our experience would be that our server did not engage in our table, beyond the basics. We were not asked if we had a special occassion bringing us in for the evening or try to relate in any way with us beyond our dinner needs. His service was efficient...but it lacked the personal touch that I was hoping for for this very special dinner with my family. I would not hesitate to return, but I would hope to receive a bit more of that personal touch...

We heard many great things about this restaurant but unfortunately, it just didn't measure up to the hype. Our experience was fine but not outstanding. The live music was lovely but a bit too loud for the elderly persons in our midst. The food was adequate but two dishes- the Filet Diane and Caesar salad prepared at our table were above average. The wait staff were run off their feet and seemed rushed. We were advised that they were short-staffed. Maybe this restaurant deserves a second try (but not on a busy Saturday night).

We recently celebrated our son's wedding at Michael's on the Thames. Joelle was amazing with her suggestions and advice when we planned the dinner reception with her. The service provided by the staff was impeccable and the food was delicious. Our daughter in law and son were so pleased as well with how well the dinner reception went, thanks to you and your staff. Also thanks again Abby, you were awesome.Thank you!The Scott's

This is a wonderful place. The staff were fantastic and the food was amazing. Staff are very attentive.

By far the best dining experience in London. Visiting my son studying at Western, and staying at Park Hotel, so enjoyed The Tasting Room and Garlic’s (walkable) but cannot say enough about finding this gem! We will be back once more before we leave in a few days… that’s how good it was. Food out of this world… table side specials all the way! Service impeccable, music and art work outstanding… Can’t say enough about this truly well run gem. Thank you Michaels on the Thames.. so lucky we got your last table for 2 tonight! Nikki & Charlie!

Took advantage of the meals prepared at the table. Caesar salad was fabulous as was the château Chateaubriand. Todd prepared both dishes well and with flair. Great night out that included live music.
