Great restaurant, I went with my friend this evening. The wait was a little long but it was peak time so that was okay. The servers were very kind. We ordered the combo for two and the portions were huge. I have an allergy to egg and they were very understanding when I asked to take the egg out. The food was spectacular, just the right amount of spice and flavouring. We couldn't finish so we got some take-out trays to bring it home. I will definitely come back another day!
Amazing experience. We ordered a "meal for 2 people", but it was really fitting for an entire family. Absolutely no complaints. It took a bit for the food to get there, but it was rush hour so this was forgiveable. Everything was delicious, from soup to stir fry. Chicken was sauced very well...just great all around. I also ordered in the past and always enjoyed it. It's a pleasure to live nearby.
Do NOT order this Shezhuan style (spicy) watery lamb. The meat is of such low quality, can’t even chew them.
We really like London Chinese Restaurant. It's our go-to place for dim sum. Service is almost always excellent (we had a hard time being noticed by a server a couple times, but both times, it was insanely busy, so it was completely understandable). We have since avoided going at peak times, and service has been consistently good. The duck is also great, and their squid tentacles are awesome (at most other places, the coating falls off and the squid is not as tender). We have never left disappointed, that's for sure. And we have never experienced any of the unpleasant experiences reported by a few of the reviews I've seen here. No complaints from me.
Unfortunately food quality has gone and prices gone up down since covid. Some dishes are still not bad but don't get the fried chicken. They will give you refried leftovers that taste like salty cardboard.
I went there for dinner on Jan 3, 2022 and I ordered their recommended dish " Beef biscuits and Eggplant Hotpot CH4" and a small steam rice. I thought I would have a good dinner considering the price $23.99, the price of all you can eat at Mandarin. It came out the size of a soup bowl eggplant stir fry to mush with 2 pieces of beef biscuits the size of an egg. I don't know how much they charge me for the steam rice, but the total came to rounded to $32 with tip $35, Just madness! I could make that at home for $3. Expect a wild ride when you come here. I'm not coming back that's for sure.?????
Really good Chinese Food, we come here all the time for dim sum and we have started exploring the regular menu. So far, the best Chinese food in London you gotta come here.
Very nice dim sum place, a bit pricy but Covid makes everything expensive now. Good quality dim sum dishes. 炸兩腸粉not crunchy but it's not the worst I've had, rest of the dishes I ordered are pretty good, will go back again soon to try other stuff on the menu.
Bill came to 113, we gave them 120. Told them to keep the change but the server was bold enough to say “No, no, 10% more tip”. First of all the service was awful. We kept getting yelled at when we asked for refill on tea or more hot sauce, not to mention it was slow as well. But she persisted and cornered us demanding more tip so we gave her $5 more just so we could leave. I highly do not recommend this place unless you don’t mind forking out the mandatory 10% tip like its tax.
Excellent dim sum. Order sheet, great service, food served piping hot.
