Best espresso coffee we’ve had in London so far! These guys really know their stuff. And their grilled cheese sandwich is just perfection with a lovely crust and a cheesy pull. Have it with their bacon jam, you won’t regret it! Can’t wait to try more of their food offerings.
I needed a place to use a washroom during the MS walk, and this was the closest place I found using Google maps. I was pleasantly surprised to find this Cafe! It's clean, cute, the staff are friendly and they even provide a water bowl outside for pets. I ordered myself a tea which is absolutely delicious. I'll be coming back for sure!
As a vaccinated individual I have to say it is pretty sad that after restrictions have been lifted you are still requiring proof of vaccination to enjoy a coffee. I won't be visiting your establishment again. Shame on you for continuing the fear mongering and coercion we all dealt with for 2 years. This is the first establishment since restrictions were lifted that I have come across that still requires it. I have proof but you won't see it. You also won't see another penny from me.
I was asked to leave because I couldn’t show my passport (which I do have both vaccines), while I was simply WAITING IN LINE for my sandwich! They made me wait out front for them to deliver my sandwich. The place wasn’t even overly full. The barista was unapologetic and very authoritarian. I won’t be going back! Horrible customer service and the coffee wasn’t even good :(
Double espresso and fresh from the oven ham & cheese croissant: great start to a Saturday. This was the best espresso I've had, ever. Friendly staff, great coffee, selection of treats, with specials throughout the week. Wish I lived in London; I'd be in there for butter tart Tuesday. Steady stream of neighbourhood patrons, there's also on site and street parking. Dine in with vax proof.
Very good place if you are a coffee connoisseur, if you like vegan donuts but only on Fridays, if you love hipster baristas and petting other patrons' dogs. Best old fashioned glazed in the city!!!!
Not a coffee drinker and have never been to this shop but will go there to try the gluten free items. But mostly will support it for the fact that the owner will keep COVID guidelines in place to make sure staff and customer's are safe and protected, even if it might affect his bottom line. Admirable. I expect that you may have more people support your shop for this reason alone. Thank you.
Was very disappointed to find out that, even against current public health guidelines (as of March 1st 2022), Locomotive Espresso is choosing to independently discriminate against its customers who are not vaccinated. My wife and I always looked forward to our lunchtime visits and after two years were excited to start coming again. Unfortunately, it is evident that we are not valuable customers and will have to find another coffee shop who is willing to accept our business. Just sad.
This establishment is requiring proof of wac after gov said it is no longer necessary. Blatant discrimination. Then they post about Ukraine’s freedom and DELETE comments of actual Ukrainians who call out their proof of wac program. Unbelievably rude to people with these concerns. The person who is running the social media account has caused great harm to this business. When asked to speak to the owners we were rejected. Will never go back here again.
I would give 0 if I could. This place is still choosing to segregate honest hard working Canadians because of a medical choice even after provincial mandates have lifted. Shame on you.
