Visited a few times, never disappointed. Everything tastes so good here. Best fish and chips in town. They have pretty good kids menus, too.
This is one of the few GOOD fish restaurants I can find in this area. The food was good, as usual. The venue is clean. Sid was friendly.
First time going to Golden Lake Seafood and was quite impressed. The restaurant was nice and bright and quiet. The food portions were very generous and the service was friendly. We will be back.
By far the best fish and chips that we found in London so far, my wife and I had Haddock and chips and it was cooked to perfection and the prices were very reasonable
Stopped in for a halibut sandwich. It was tasty. I could have asked a little more from the bun, but everything else was good
Visited this fish and chips place a few times now and I can confidently say that its consistency of both food and service are solid.Located on a corner of a major intersection in South London, the sign stands out well and while it shares a parking lot with several other businesses, it is the best non-chain restaurant in that plaza.The owner cares a lot about the food quality and it shows up as consistency and for the uniform cooking, no matter the type of fish. I tried 3 different ones so far: halibut, haddock and pollock. My favorite is the pollock, but that's my personal preference. Most go for the haddock for a cleaner and more hearty bite. The halibut is really good if you prefer a firmer initial bite because its flesh is denser. They always ask if you'd want a light or heavy batter. Light works out very well for my recommendation. Both fries and onion rings are also done great here.Portion sizes are good and the pricing is reasonable. I was surprised at the combination of ingredient quality, the batter texture & flavor and the sides. This is a damn good fish and chips place.

I ordered this place last year and loved it, I ordered it for take out again today because I wanted fish and chips and was very horrified with the experience. The fish is not even cooked, the batter is literally still raw, wet, and squishy. The fries are also not even cooked, they are soaking wet and still half defrosted… it’s really not hard to cook your food.. the last time I had it, it was good. Disappointing, will not be coming back
We ordered the Halibut for take out as I thought it would be good to support a new Business I'm the Community.I don't think I'll go back!!Paid what I considered good money and received alot of food.Ran to the car as it was running and the Heater was on!!Lots of French Fries (cold & greasy) and the Fish couldn't be cut with a Sharp Steak Knife... incredible!! I'll go back to Archie's!!The food should have been at it's best as it was only 5:00p.m. on a Saturday.
