Well I ordered a sampler box in London Ontario which is local. I figured maybe I would get it next week. To my suprise and delight box was on my front step next day. Of course I went about getting these new beans into my machine. Excellent!!!! Is it worth the price? TO THE LAST DROP. Very happy customer who will buy again.
An extremely BAD experience today with a foul-tempered woman behind the counter at the Fire Roasted Coffee Company. Before setting out on a long walk in Old East Village with my gentle dog, knowing it was snowy and he might be in need of a bit of warmth where we could pop in and I could have a tea or coffee before carrying on, I looked up the names of "dog friendly" places. On top of that list was the Fire Roasted Coffee Company. Half an hour in to our walk, we went in. I started to order a coffee, but an unpleasant woman behind the counter snapped at me, "Is that a service dog? If not, you have to leave!" I was so taken aback by her confrontational tone! I said, "But you advertise that you are dog friendly." She denied this, and declared, "Show me where it says we are dog friendly and you can stay," whereupon I showed her the site on my cell phone. She snapped, "that's a group, that's not our website!" I asked to speak to the manager. She declared in a noxious tone that she was the Manager. Oh dear. I asked her name, "Faye," she spat out. Now, in my several earlier visits to this place since I moved to Old East Village, sans doggie, I encountered a warm, inviting, friendly atmosphere. I had never seen this rude person before. Where was the courteous man who had always been staffing the counter before? This Faye person declared contemptuously, "Oh, you mean the one who has been gone for six months?" Why be contemptuous with an unsuspecting, would-be customer? I told her I was very sorry I had exposed my gentle dog to her foul energy and left. Poor members of staff who work under her; if my most unpleasant experience today was any example of her behaviour, I can only imagine they suffer under the lash of her tongue and temper.
I haven't ever had a coffee from the cafe at Fire Roasted, but I have ordered a lot of coffee beans to brew at home. The beans are the best I have tried in London and the delivery service was excellent. One time, my delivery was stolen from my porch. After calling Fire Roasted about it, they replaced the whole order and delivered it to me personally that day. I have recommended the place to many of my friends. I also really like their Artisan Series. Each of their Artisan coffees feature artwork from a local artist, who gets a portion of the proceeds from each sale. My favorite Artisan Series coffee is the Costa Rica Yellow Honey Process - it has a unique and wonderful flavor. The only downside I have is the location of the shop. The area has a large homeless populace and didn't feel confident leaving my bike locked up there. Thankfully, I haven't had any incidents, although it is a worry whenever I go. Their local delivery service is great, so I mainly just use that.
I started ordering their coffee after a raving recommendation -- and I have to say I regret not knowing about them sooner. A local London coffee place that features real local artists and inside these beautifully-designed packages are their roasted-to-perfection java beans. I like a light-to-medium roast (definitely on the lighter side) and Fire Roasted must have a magic oven because no other coffee bean I've tried is as smooth or flavourful as theirs. I've tried many of their light roasts and medium roasts (Fireside being the most well-rounded medium roast for those wondering). No matter the specific flavour or roast, their coffee is mouthwatering. They are also incredibly helpful and appreciative of their customers. There is a wonderful local delivery in place and every time I use it, I get my coffee within 1-2 days with notice from the delivery driver when they are close-by. They continually contact their customers to ask for their opinions about their coffee and service, and they send regular discount codes. Their deals, in general, are great and the personal touch of customer service is so heartwarming. I only wish I had discovered them sooner!
Best coffee. Best customer service. Super fast delivery (sometimes same day!), awesome subscription options, can’t say enough good things about Fire Roasted Coffee!
The same great coffee you expect from fire rostered, just in a different location.Great coffee, and friendly staff. It may be a bit hard to find in the building, so head towards freshii and it's right beside it.
I have been ordering beans online from Fire Roasted for the past 6 months. Their coffee is fantastic, their service is spectacular and their delivery is extremely fast. They always have different beans to choose from, their coffee boxes provide variety and a chance to try different flavours, and I love their artisan series that highlights a local artist every month. I highly recommend them!
We used Fire Roasted Coffee (and Teas) for a recent Sales & Marketing meeting that was held virtually. We had curated boxes that were sent to all attendees prior to the meeting, and each recipient received either two bags of coffee or a bag of tea and a bag of coffee as part of these boxes. This box went out all over Canada to our Sales team and was very well received. Thank you to Fire Roasted Coffee Co. for helping us make our first Virtual Event a success and adding a little caffeine to our participants!! :)
I got some of their coffee with a Christmas present and loved it! I live 1-1/2 hours away so I decided to order a variety online and have it shipped. I was shocked at how quickly it arrived and they even included a handwritten note! I'll happily order from them again.
Picked up a coffee for my girlfriend because she was having a bad day - she said she's never going back to Starbucks! I ended up getting a Christmas gift package because she loved it so much!
