Visited for the first time last evening and had a great experience. The atmosphere and food were great, and our waitress and the manager were very friendly. Will be back!
My mom, my two sons and I went there last Sunday for lunch. It was our first time at Fionn MacCool's North. I got a gift card and it was one of the places where it could be used, so we decided to give it a try without knowing what to expect. I honestly have to say that we loved it there, the overall experience was excellent. From the moment we entered we were welcomed by Lesley who made us feel welcomed, entertained and well taken care of. The food was excellent, we had fish and chips and children chose burger and chicken wings from the kid's menu. The overall atmosphere was chill and friendly, the place itself was clean and cozy. We loved it for the staff (Lesley is so wonderful) and for the food. Will be back there soon, I would recommend to a friend without hesitation. Thank you for the experience Fionn Mac Cool's Staff! It was so nice to feel and be treated like a regular client while visiting your place for the first time!
We were all pleased with our mealsâ¦nothing fancy, but the fish and chips and chicken fingers were top notch. Loved the kilted wait staff, as well.
Overall, I like this place, but there were a few small things that made me give it three stars and not a four or five.\\nI think the prices are just a bit on the high side, as lunch for two with a drink each was $70. That's a fair chunk of change for lunch.\\nThe steak I had was flavourful, but unfortunately it was a bit tough. I don't expect top notch steak at a pub like this, but I think a little better quality would be nice.\\nMy biggest issue was a drink on the menu called the Irish bomber. I'm not one of those people who gets offended over every little thing, but as a person of Irish descent, I find the name very derogatory. All in all though, I would return, because I do like the atmosphere and the waitress was great.
Service was excellent, my food was great but the bfs food wasn't cooked the way he asked. Steak was supposed to be medium well and they gave him rare. We eneded up switching food since I like my steak like that and he liked my sandwich.
My significant other and I went here for my birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
The fish was outstanding. The best I have had in a long time. Service was not very attentive. Waited a long time to give our food order after drinks had arrived. Our friends wanted glasses of water but server was nowhere to be seen. Eventually showed up after we had nearly finished our meals.

The food was good with large portions. The waitress was very friendly and quick and came and checked on our table several times to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely go back there for a casual dinner with friends.
I took my niece for a patio dinner last night. It was amazing. Food was great. We had artichoke spinach dip and each of us tried the Cajun salmon bowl. Delicious. Our waiter was excellent. Definitely will return.
