Me and my Father came here a few weeks ago on a Sunday and we both totally enjoyed ourselves here. Especially with the unlimited soup & salads, plus their awesome unlimited fresh cooked bread loaves. Our meals were great as well. We both basically ate so many orders of soup & salad ( plus all those bread loaves ) that we both had half of our meals to take home for lunch the next day. Our server Jeff was excellent and always kept an eye on our table and our bottomless pops full. Would highly recommend this location.
I could've written this review years ago. I do not visit your restaurant willingly, but my daughter has loved ESM from a young age, and I like to see her smile. But every time I visit, I find a new reason to hate you more. My daughter is 12 now. She's not a very adventurous eater (which is obvious by the fact that we ate there). She loves your bread and pasta. She just wants the pasta with butter and a load of parm on it. It's her favourite meal. After me asking her if we could go ANYWHERE other than ESM tonight, I reluctantly agreed to go. When we arrived, the hostess greeted us after about 3 minutes of standing there. As she was grabbing the menus, I asked "can we please get a kids menu?" She turned to me and asked if my daughter was under 10. I replied "she's 12, but she won't eat anything else". The hostess (who I believe was a manager) kind of paused for a second and then said "I'll make an exception this one time". Honestly, go **** yourselves with this "one time" nonsense. I don't even want to be at your restaurant. The only reason you're getting my business is because she wants to be there. So I said to the hostess, "if this is such a big deal, I'm happy to leave". She then seemed a little uncomfortable but didn't really say anything. So I added "because I can just as easily order a kids meal alone online and no one will ask me about anyone's age". She then said "it's okay". And let's be clear, this was a Saturday. It wasn't a Sunday when kids eat free, or a Tuesday when kids eat for $2. I wasn't looking for a discount. It's also not as if it was a buffet where my 12yo could eat more than someone under 10, or anything else. The meal she wants is on the kids menu. It's no different her eating it than a 10yo. And sure, I know this might make me come off as a dick. But in general, I'm the easiest customer you can have. I'm friendly, patient, don't usually care if my order is messed up, and I tip reasonably well. Why? Because I understand working in this industry is difficult. I can afford to dine out, so just make things easy for me, and I'll make things easy for you. However, in a service industry, if you decide you need to hassle me, or pretend you're doing me some huge favour over some ridiculous "rule", then I'm not going to be happy. If the age of the kids menu is that serious of an issue for you, then STRICTLY ENFORCE IT. I will happily not return. If it's more of a suggestion, then just SHUT THE **** UP when I ask for a kids menu. Anyways... that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I wouldn't have written a negative review if it wasn't for that. But since I'm writing a review, here are my other observations... As we were ordering, I noticed that their "summer menu" had mozza sticks on it. My daughter loves mozza sticks, so I asked her if she wanted some as an app. She said yes. Our waiter asked if we wanted a "single or double order". Usually when I order an app at a restaurant, they don't ask how many of that app I want, so I figured his use of "single or double" implied one order might not be enough. I wasn't even that hungry, but I asked my daughter how hungry she was, and based on her reaction, I asked for the double order. My mistake, I know. I could've asked how many mozza sticks came with each, but I assumed he had enough intelligence that he had good reason to ask the question. When the mozza sticks came out, there were 16 of them... 16! Again though, while I was particularly bothered by the age question, I'm pretty chill, so we ate what we could, and took the rest to go. The mozza sticks were nothing special, but they were fine. Very average, reminded me of Burger King's. The marinara sauce was way too chunky. In fact, it was more similar in texture to a salsa. Tasted fine, but after dipping about three mozza sticks
Food was ok, not great.quality and quantity are not a thing at this franchise anymore. It’s disappointing.Staff seemed nice but really slow, we went in for lunch . We were two hours ! We waited and waited for our food, we had to ask for water and waited, we had to ask for our bill and waited . I watched staff walk by a table full of dishes multiple times , each time looking at the table of dishes . No one wants to work these days or do more
Nice little pizza place and more. Sort of like Boston pizza with kids menu, very nice service, food and price. The couch I was sitting was a little too tight and very upright, but nothing too bad for a quick eat. lot of parking as it’s in a mall area.
Had such an amazing experience. The staff was so incredibly friendly and courteous. Walked in and was greeted with big smiles by the hostess & Manager. It was dinner time on mother's day & was super busy. The manager seated us & informed us of our server's name and then apologized for any possible wait on food since it was so busy. Our server, Claire S, was incredible. Though it was really busy, Everytime Claire came to the table she had the biggest smile on her & made us feel like we were her only table. Service was fast & food was just delicious!Had at first tried going to the one in Argyle, it was the complete opposite experience.
We sat on the patio on a hot sunny day for lunch. The waitress brought out garlic bread immediately. We ordered our food and she brought out a huge garden salad. By then we were getting a bit full. I got the main course - chicken tetrazzini and it was delicious. The sauce it’s really good! Hubby got the chicken on a bun said it was decent. Meatball sandwich was even better last time we went. It was a delicious meal for an excellent price.
Overall not a very good experience. The food was blah, and the service was the same.I have 2 stars because near the end of the night our waitress was swapped out and the second waitress was really attentive and though she was new (I thought she was the manager to be honest) she saved the restaurant from a 1 star.
Arrived and was told there was a 5-10 min wait. Over 30 mins later after being ignored as they sat everyone that came in after, turns out they skipped over me on their list. Sat down and waited another 14 minutes for the server to even acknowledge us. Was ready to leave when the server finally showed up. When we expressed how long we had waited she snapped about it being busy and gave us attitude for the rest of the meal. I’d be more apt to believe it was busy if there wasn’t 4 empty tables right around us. Terrible service from start to finish. Won’t be returning to this location.
Food is absolutely delicious. We tried various food items, both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Their mocktails and cocktails definitely stand out! Pretty place giving an American diner feel!
Fine good dinner, loved the atmosphere along with their tomato soup.
