Extremely disappointed in my experience at this establishment tonight. It started with a hostess who was preoccupied and simply slammed menus on a table as she sat us. Waitress seemed bubbly at the start. Waited for a very long time for our appetizers however with no interaction from a server or manager. Appetizers arrived with the server also informing us that our rare steaks were ready. Working in kitchens for over two decades I know my options here are to accept the meals with the apps or have our steaks be ruined by the heat lamp. My husband was trying to rush eating his app so he could enjoy his dinner but sadly that only made it a very bad situation where we couldn't enjoy anything. Here is the kicker for me, I had ordered sauteed mushrooms with my steak, the server informs me that the "shrooms" would be a minute still. I ate my fries first, still no mushrooms, moved on to my steak, which was perfectly cooked , ate half the steak when the mushrooms finally arrived. They were inedible! Salty and very much deep fried. . . .again twenty years in kitchens I know their tricks. Didn't help that I almost broke my teeth on the very crispy piece of French fry that was in there amongst about five more. Server did remove the mushrooms but over all VERY bad experience and certainly not worth the 90 dollars I paid. Even an apology from management would have helped save this experience, but nothing. We won't be back. On our way out the hostess had her feet up and was video chatting with some guys. Didn't even acknowledge us. Not very friendly if you ask me. I would love to leave more information but the server was quick to snatch my copy of the bill off the table with my cash.
This was my first time at Chuck's. Steak dinner was delicious (had the New York steak). It was like a more casual version of the Keg - incl. without the high price - complete with their own version of the birthday dessert. Drinks were a good price. I probably would've traded the half cob of corn for a different veggie if given the chance. A tasty night out within a reasonable budget.
We went this evening and ordered water and a glass of wine with our Rib dinner which is Wednesdays special so we thought it would be fast. It took 35-40 minutes for our order to come and the ribs were cold. The fries and sweet potato fries were little warmer but not hot either. Our waiter told is he would have some more made for us but they just heated up what we already had. My dinner partner cut his in the middle and the waiter served us opposite meals when he returned. His idea of making it right for us was to throw a few fresh fries on the plate. Last time we will be eating here.
Extremely happy with the service !! Went tonight and it was packed ! Super busy ! We called to see wait times the host was more then accommodating! Our sever was friendly , quick and always checking in on our table even with how busy this place was we never had to sit and wonder where our server was she was always on top of all of her tables !The food was delicious, and made in a timely manner ! This is the first restaurant our family has been in since covid started and we are extremely impressed ! Thank you chucks road house for amazing service !
Ordered takeout, arrived at the 45 minute mark as noted. Had to wait an extra 40 minutes in the bar area for kids chicken fingers and fries and a kids hamburger and fries. Hard to believe it takes 85 minutes. I'm the only one sitting at the bar, and there is 13 customers here presently. Last time I order from here unfortunately as the staff are quite nice. On top of that, I think there was a potato shortage, and the burger was soaked in blood.
Ordered 2 porterhouse steaks for my hubby & I. My favorite cut of steak. Their White Oaks location the cook ,cooked both to perfection. Exactly the way we both like. His wasn't too bloody. Mine wasn't too dry & burnt. Unfortunately they're all 20 ounce. So majority of mine came home & We ate it the next day.My only complaint- you're ordering an expensive meal like that, not everyone likes french fries. That's all it comes with & maybe 1/3 piece of corn on the cob grilled. You shouldn't have to pay extra for mashed or baked etc. & Not everyone can eat corn. Should have a choice of grilled mixed veg.PLEASE consider this & you'd be just perfect!!!The cook at Argyle didn't cook Our steaks right last time. You gotta have an experienced cook cooking steaks.
We were here last Saturday at 1pm and it wasn't too busy. We ordered drinks and asked some questions about a few menu items in regards to a food allergy. Waitress came back from the kitchen stating that her cook said 'there's too much potential for cross-contamination in our kitchen for you to eat safely'...?I said 'we've eaten here before, we will accept the risk' and ordered a simple chicken sandwich with fries, stating that 'if the bread ordered isn't Ok for my allergy they could use ANY other bun/bread off the menu'...the waitress returned again to tell me 'all the bread on the menu has dairy'I know this to be untrue based on the allergen guide online and it seemed clear that the kitchen wasn't wanting to help..so we said we weren't feeling welcome and were going to leave, and she brought us a $6 bill for our pop which we had barely touched! We paid and didn't want to make a scene but wish we hadn't paid the bill! It's really too bad we had this experience because have been here at least a couple of times before and enjoyed it!
Definitely not ever eating at this Chuck's Roadhouse restaurant ever again. Terrible service and I ordered a full baby back rib with a baked potato. Not impressed with the ribs. They weren't tender and fall off the bone either. They appearently grille them which is not the proper way to prepare them. Slow cooked to perfection is key. I've worked in a kitchen before, a few times. Management sucks also. Poorly trained staff and people who don't care about their jobs plays a huge role at this restaurant. I highly recommend not visiting this establishment. They really need to get their act together.
Love this place! My boyfriend and I have been here at least 4-5 times now and I almost always get a steak medium-rare and they always make it perfectly. My boyfriend mostly gets the burger's and he says you can tell they're made with high quality beef. They also have really great food AND drink prices and weekly deals. Highly recommend you check them out.
Really great deal on beer and food. We went when the beers were $6 for 30oz and you can get a larger steak for around $20. The steak was great. Can be a bit noisy but would be a fun place to watch a Maple Leafs game.
