Delivery driver knocks on door at 10 pm when told to leave at door then says he works for chopstick house not door dash do he didn’t see it? Joke of a employee and the food was all rice 2 chicken balls and a egg roll AVOID

Gotta say very disappointed after paying 12 bucks for a lunch special. The fried wonton had no meat. The order is small and I dont even have utensils. I am sure inflation doesn't cost double in a year for Chinese food

Sad to read the bad reviews. Used to be one of the best places in town. I lived across the street on Piccadilly in my teens. My sister worked there taking orders. The food was amazing in those days. Should I try it when I'm back home next week? Probably. I'll get the house special fried rice with extra curry and a couple of spring rolls and see where it's at. I think this joint has been open since 1968 but ownership might have changed at some point. I think there's some rivalry with the Shanghai on Springbank (which has great food btw!) as the oldest Chinese joint in the city. I'm so old I remember The Hoo Hoo on Richmond in downtown London!

Exactly what I’m looking for when I want Chinese food takeout. Good fried rice, good chicken, good sauce (comes on the side for maximum sauciness). Sadly did not enjoy the egg roll or spring roll. Tastes really good as leftovers, which is key.

I placed my order for pick up on Sunday May 15th late afternoon. I ordered Honey garlic spare ribs along with chicken fried rice / chicken soo guy/ vegetable chop suey/2 egg rollsMy order came to $62 which included 2 diet cokeWhen I got home the chop suey had SO MUCH salt on it that I swear someone dumped it in and it was completelynot edible. I also put what I thought was plum sauce packets on my egg roll only to find out it was duck sauce... blechhh... the spare ribs were NOT honey garlic and had a wierd taste. I called immediately to complain and they told me to bring the chop suey back in. I explained that it was not possible at that time. I also asked why they put duck sauce in and she said it was a new supplier so it is labeled duck sauce but it was PLUM sauce. It CLEARLY was NOT plum sauce. They made NO ATTEMPT to offer me any compensation whatsover. To make a long story short the meal was a disaster and not edible. Lesson learned and I will NOT be ordering from them again.

I used to love this place but my most recent experience has soured me. Ordered through door dash and they use their own drivers so there's no way to track the delivery. About 30 mins after I ordered i get a call from the driver saying that they think the address is wrong so I confirm my address and the driver says that's what he has and hangs up. After about another 30 mins still no food so I contacted the restaurant and said that we had to call the driver to get an update and they would get the driver to call us. The driver calls and says that we told him that he could not enter our building and that we didn't want the food. We haven't had any contact with the driver since the location call, so I told him that the food is probably cold by now having been over an hour from time of order. Now because the restaurant uses their own drivers door dash only directs you to call the restaurant for any issues. When I called the restaurant to explain what happened they hung up on me the first time and when I called them back they refused to try to process a refund. They told me that because I refused the food that I was out of the money. After a long work around I was able to contact door dash who was unfortunately not able to refund my order from the restaurant but instead gave me the same value as credit on my account. Needless to say I will not be ordering from here again and will actively tell people to avoid if they don't want bad customer service.

I read the reviews AFTER ordering and tried to cancel my order but couldn't.I was fully prepared to ask for a refund because I thought I would hate it.I actually used to work here but with the old owners and loved the food. But since then, I can tell some things have changed. The wonton soup I used to drool over, it had nice wonton with nice pieces of bbq pork. It seemed like the tiniest pieces of just plain pork sadly now :( the beef lo mein was alright but not bad! Only complaint was there was some noodles that were toooo crispy and couldn't eat but I love that there was lots of beef. But, those were my only complaints. Delivery was quick and no issues (I wish I could track but they let me know when they were close.) Everything was a good portion and loved. Especially the house fried rice. I absolutely hate when fried rice is coated with too much soy sauce and is so dark. I also loved the chop suey. Will be ordering again :)

Expensive for the small portions u get. Food has no taste. Spent a $180 tonight and was a total waste of money. Even the fried rice sucked and it was like soggy. Seems more like reheated food then freshly made food. Never again and will never recommend. 7 people ate this food tonight and not 1 said they enjoyed their food. Only nice thing I can say is staff is very friendly.

I used to love this place and unfortunately being a bit outside of london I haven't ordered there much recently so im not sure when this change took place but the food is awful now.The wonton soup was almost in a sweet and sour broth(definitely not a wonton broth). The chicken fried rice was not fried at all and was sticky and bland as all hell with no egg in either. And the chicken balls tasted like cardboard. The egg roll was good. This was never the case with them and it was incredibly disappointing.

wonderful meals chicken balls, Cantonese- Style Lo Mein with chicken BBQ pork, shrimp mixed veggies and mushrooms. plus mushroom fried rice.
