Great food. Super friendly and efficient service. A great community pub
I've been a few times and food is decent for a pub. I find the hours aren't actually what is said online. Witnessed last call being given to us but not "regulars." Kitchen closed at 10pm on a Saturday for take out although says open till 11. Service is always hit or miss.
Love this place. The owner walks around and chats with his customers and helps his staff who are friendly and efficient. Best nachos!
We have come here quite a bit the kast few weeks due to working in the area. The last three time were great. The brunette bar tender was friendly, attentive and informative. However this time we came. Different bar tender (blonde) unattentive, and seemed like she didn't care. Didn't bring us any menus. Took 10mins to even ask us what we wanted. We ordered a pint each and a poutine. The poutine took 25mins in an almost empty restaurant, in which had barely any cheese or Gravy. Very disappointed and unfortunately won't be coming back again. Zero tip to this lady.
Great atmosphere friendly staff. I ordered a hamburger and it was very dry and bland. Maybe one of the worst hamburgers I've ever had in a restaurant. My son ordered a club sandwich and he was happy with it. If I ever go again I'll try something different.
Following a trip to the Grand Theatre to see Grow, we stopped at Bernie's for dinner. While I always have the BBQ chicken pizza, my fellow diners chose new and different items. Our server, Kaitlyn brewed a fresh pot of coffee for me while my fellow diners were quickly served alcoholic beverages. Service was excellent and our meals were tasty. Bernie's is always our favourite stop on the way back from attending theatre at Port Stanley. It never disappoints!
It would have been 3 stars. However, we ordered some pretty standard bar fare. Large ($4) up charge beef ($5.50) up charge to make the Nachos $26. The picture shows how many of the nachos have no toppings. That’s at least half the order. Called the restaurant just to let them know that it’s not acceptable to charge premium prices for sub par food to be told they’ve been there for 32 years and they’ll comp me next time. I didn’t want the comp, I wanted the next person to not be overcharged. Poor manager, poor experience. Save your money.
Just did uber eats from bernies and sorry but my wife's roast beef dip had bad meat in it. She couldn't eat it because of the smell. Too bad as we were loyal eaters of their food but now it might be some time before going back.
We picked up take out and it was good. Nice to support local. They gave us a little container of ice cream with our kids order and that was a nice touch! We will definitely do it again sometime!
Great neighbourhood pub. Very friendly staff and owner is often onsite to take of customers. Great wings. Fantastic selection on tap. If near by don't miss on stopping in.
