What can I say about Archie’s…..this little local seafood spot was a good find.Love when I get to a place that is filled with not only locals but the older local crowd. The menu itself is classic , good ol Archie got the squad all out there for that photo which is dope. Everything ordered was on ?, and for my first meal in Canada I’d say it was proper. Okay folks, I LOVE Love love the Ladies who work at Archie's on Wellington! Best people ever. Archie's as a whole may or may not be as amazing as these women, but they had the good sense to hire them, so that's something. These Girls will take good care of you, feed you up proper, and treat you like a queen (or king, if that's your preference). In fact, if you go in more than twice they will likely know your name, and if they find out when your birthday is they'll use that information against you too. :DAlso, the food is really really good. The portions are bigger than I expected, so don't make the mistake of ordering a two piece Fish and Chips unless you're just wanting to have too much to eat. The Grilled Trout was super-yummy, and be sure to leave room to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding; toffee pudding with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream and yummy butterscotch sauce all over it ... I'd marry it if it would stilll let me see other desserts.Anyway, if you're in London, Ontario, they're just a few blocks off of the 401, so go see them.
Overpriced for what it is, the fish actually had oil seeping out of it as we cut it.Definately suggest eating elsewhere for fish dishes.
Archie's is the best fish and chip place anywhere. The only place I think that could compete with Archie's is on Manitoulin Island at some of the restaurants where they serve white fish. After getting the two-piece meal I was incredibly full. They offer a dining in as well with a broader menu of seafood. Some of the shrimp soaked in butter covered in cheese is amazing! They are definitely a Queen restaurant and they are definitely following covid-19 guidelines.
Friendly staff , great food! Makes your dining experience that much more enjoyable the hardest part will be deciding what to order and whether you choose from the breakfast menu or the lunch/dinner menu.
The food and service here was amazing! The server learned our names and then called us by name every time she came by, very personal. Never let the level in our coffee cups get below half without asking, the food was delicious and hot. Will definitely be back!
Well, the food (when you get what you want) is usually quite good. The issue is we usually get take out and have had multiple problems where we're either missing items or the items were wrong. Since we live 30 mins away, they've never fixed the problem by having someone drive out with the correct or missing items, they just say when we come back, they'll correct the problem and give us a "piece of pie". What a joke ! Very disappointing!! I wonder how they deal with these issues when their food is delivered by Skip the Dishes? It's very sad and shows a lack of customer service when customers are basically forced to have to check the whole order before they leave the restaurant to make sure it's correct.
Unfortunately, I was unable to enjoy the halibut ordered today. The fish was chewey and did not smell like halibut. Archie's policy is that the fish must be returned to the store for a new one or your money back. This does not work for everyone and there is no alternative.
This was my first time here. Food was really good! Service was good as well my family and I will definitely be going back! Highly recommend going there if you haven't already.
