Ale House is truly something magical. On your first visit, you'll have the feeling of familiarity. You've never been there before, yet you can't shake the feeling that you have. Others on here will point out the cheap drinks or modestly priced food, but neither are what keep you coming back. I remember first walking in at 11am looking for a quick lunch in an unfamiliar city."Are you guys open for lunch?""Yup" the waitress replied."Everyday?""Everyday.""When do you close?""You're not from around here, are you?"I wasn't. And little did I know what this place would come to mean to me in such a short time span. Whether it's Jay asking if you want your usual, or Tony with wisdom beyond his years, you realize you're not buying drinks, you're paying to spend just a little more time in here. Because it's not the drinks or the food that keep you coming back, its the people - from the waitresses, bartenders, food staff and, yes, the regular patrons. You don't need to tell your friends to meet you here because everyone that walks through those old wooden doors knows that your friends are already there, waiting for you, even the ones you haven't met yet.If you stay long enough, you'll laugh, you'll pour your heart out into a glass, and yes, you'll probably get a little too drunk and talk a little too loud. And if you're like me, you may experience all four in one night. But that's what makes this place special, and the memories and friends I've made here will last a lifetime. Some people call it the black hole, swearing you're only having one but staying till close. Some just call it the Ale. But for my short time here in the city, for me, I've called it home. I know you will too.Cheers.

Not a good place. I like different beer selections and though they do have a good amount of different beers, their beers on tap are disgusting. I had Sapporo and it literally made me sick. How can you call yourself an ale house and have really bad draught lines?! Service is okay nothing to brag about and food was average at best. I won’t be coming back. Lots of other WAY better places to go for drinks and food.

Wings = awful. Nachos = Awful Waited an hour for terrible food. It was supposed to be 1/2 price special but charged us full price.

Some of the best wings in town, and many other tastey food options. The staff and manager has always been nothing but respectful. Great and varied promotions though out the week.

I often come here with friends or family as it is close. A normal pub with pretty good food and service.I reviewed this place based on the average things you inspect.Food 6/10Service 7/10Price 7/10Signs 10/10

Honestly it was fine. I've been here whenever I come to London. It's a cheap and cheerful place with decent food. But the last time I was there, they didn't ask to see my proof of vaccination, and the service was pretty slow. But the reason for my 1 star, is I was told by some people that they had some anti-vax, and disrespectful/racist language on their signs out front. For this reason I will not be back and will not recommend to my colleagues when I go.

This is an average pub you would typically find along a main downtown street in any town. Older building with old dated decor... typical pub. It must be decent for late drinks as the bar is long and there are lots of tvs and I imagine the late night atmosphere is good.. but for food its just ok.. the meals are ok, cheap and good portions. it wasn't busy so the meals arrived quickly. and the service was good. The biggest issue is that we all smelled like a deep fat fryer as the place is not ventilated properly so you come out smelling like that and it doesn't go away unless you wash your clothes.

Went for lunch on Monday and thoroughly enjoyed a Caesar and naked garlic parmesan wings . Best part? Wings were half price so lunch was just over $15.00. there were 9, plump, drums and 1 flat and everything was really good!

My waitress was Jessica who did a great job. Perfectly attentive. The steak was awesome and my steak is hard to cook correctly. Definately suggest this place. The best blue steak is from Art. Ordered the French onion soup after. Best one I ever had
