It was delivery. The food is always hot and sooooo good. My favourite is the chicken chow mein. Yummers.
I don’t understand why other reviewers expect to get Michelin star dishes from a mom & pop shop that sells Americanized Chinese food….if you grew up in London (especially close to this place) you know you only go here for one thing…it gets the job done when you’re hungry on a budget and need something to eat late at night.For the longest time this was the only Chinese restaurant in London that opened till 2 am on weekdays and 4am on weekends (that is till covid came and they started closing at 1am, still later than most places). I’ve had most things on the menu, I’ve dined inside when the dining area was open (pre-covid) and I only get 1 thing. Combo #4 (chicken fried rice with 4 sweet & sour chicken balls). Why do I get this? It’s dirt cheap (it’s 2022 we’re headed into a recession, gas is over $2/L and this combo still costs me less than $10) it’s hot and fresh when I pick it up, it fills you up. I’ve eatin here for 20+ years never once had diarrhea , never seen this place get shut down by the health department (I’ve seen it’s competition get shut down more times *hint* China garden *hint*) and you gotta respect the hustle of the old Asian couple (prob in their 70s) still running this place since 92 (going off what it says on their take out menu).So In short check this OG place out before the old Asian couple retire and shut it down.
Tried the combo meal at their stall in downtown for Canada day. Absolutely horrible.... had to throw away the whole meal..chicken fried rice with spring roll and dumplings. No taste, no flavor... If the stall was an idea to promote the restaurant, something went wrong somewhere. Would not recommend to anyone and there is a lot of better tasting Chinese food in North London...
Worst Chinese food in Ontario. We ordered chicken balls, fried chicken rice, soup and not one single bite was worth the money. The chicken balls were all breaded with not even a taste of chicken, the fried rice was unbelievable with no flavour or effort put in it, the soup was cold and horrendous like they warmed up water and mixed it with a chicken flavour. I would never recommend to eat here even if everything went on sale for FREE.
I have been ordering from A & K for approx. 25 years. The food and service has always been great. I have referred many friends there as well. 2 weekends ago I ordered $61.00 worth of food..none of which I could eat. The sweet and sour spareribs were dry and stringy. The beef fried rice was dry. The wonton soup did not taste nearly as good as it usually does. Unfortunately I only need to have 1 bad experience and I'm done. Today I realized I used to order from the Chopstick House on Adelaide St. I'm currently waiting for my order. I'm sorry that A & K was so disappointing.

The very first time I ordered from A&K it was pretty decent-decent enough for me to order again.The second time however, I asked for my usual veggie pad-thai extra veg and paid for it and didnt get it. My friend ordered beef pad-thai and got chicken. When I called to let him know, he acted as if i was placing an order, didnt let me speak when I was telling him the order was wrong and acted stupid.
I eat here fairly regularly. Food is always great! It's consistently the same and yummy!
