Although the gentleman who initially served me was very pleasant and even went out of his way to show me their halal meat supplier when I had asked, the lady who served me afterwards was very impatient, didn't greet me or bid me farewell. It was my first time visiting so I was unfamiliar with their menu. I also had some card trouble so I offered to pay with cash. Normally, as a cashier one would say something like, "oh no worries. It happens". She avoided making eye contact with me and just looked annoyed. She kept trying to serve someone else when she wasn't even done serving me. I've worked in so many customer service related jobs. It's not hard to make someone feel important and welcomed. Even if someone didn't buy anything on their first visit or maybe bought something low-cost, that doesn't mean they can't be a future regular client. If you give people a reason to come because your customer service was impeccable then they would most likely come back and even tell all their followers on social media about it. I can't say I want to come back.Lastly, when I finished paying I said a simple, "thank you" and she just ignored me. I could be wrong but I think that dressing as a Muslim gets me worse customer service than someone who doesn't. I've experienced this a few times at Fairview Park Mall. The customer she kept trying to serve instead of me was a white man. Maybe I'm over thinking things; who knows? But I can't help but notice that white coloured folk get better treatment than me at most places. You know what's so ironic about that? I'm half white: French Canadian. Regardless, everyone should be treated with kindness and respect. It's really not that hard when you stop putting people on pedestals.
I hovered around all the food court choices and decided to try Umi out of all of them. No regrets! I took their special offering, a plate of chicken teriyaki with veggies on rice. It came with a drink. The meal had a nice, full, quality taste and feel. They cook it to order, and it only took a couple minutes. The sauce was delicious. Really satisfying, especially for the price of $8.75. I would definitely order from here again. And they gave me some dumplings on top of my order for free just because. Nice.
If I could give less then a 1 star I would. I went to Fairview mall at around 4:20pm for dinner I was told they were closed and would not serve me, the mall hours are till 5pm on Sunday, no reason why they could not make me a poke bowl it is not a cooked meal. I eat here at least one a week at a minimum. I will not be back due to lazy staff.

First time trying it and decided to go with beef Teriyaki bento box. It was ONION Teriyaki and there is barley any beef in it. Last time eating there and absolutely doesn't worth the money.
Sooooo slow. I'm still waiting on food. There was one person in front of me. I waited 10 minutes in line. Now I've waited 15 minutes so far for food.
This place started at 5 stars. I used to love coming here with my girlfriend and picking up a Poke bowl on the way home for a quick lunch. The staff used to be great. That all changed whenever they came back from Covid. The new staff was very dry and rude and even though I still kept going hoping it was a one off, it never got better. Then there was an incident where I went with my friend one time and I ordered my food and as soon as I was done ordering, my friend who was WITH me, was denied food 12 minutes before the place even closed. Needless to say they were upset since we were literally standing together but the lady remained adamant that they had no time anymore. That was unacceptable and my friend never went back. He crossed to the next restaurant and was immediately served with no issue. Regardless after that, I still went back once more and noticed Everytime I go I seem to be getting less Salmon in the poke bowl. It's become almost a joke of an amount. No where near how it used to be. A shame since I tried to support the business but one can only try so many times. I hope they change back.
Really bad customer service. Placed my order and got something completely different. When I asked them to fix my order, they refused and wanted to charge me for a new one. Don't wast your money or time

Great tempura shrimp poke bowl! When I ordered from here, only one person was working, so there was a bit of a wait, however, she was very kind and apologetic! The food was very fresh tasting :)
