I ordered bone chicken from Popeyes and it was amazing also the environment was really good and it was great to visit there
They were really really busy with deliveries and customers but diligently work through the rush to get me my food fairly quick. Chicken was crisp and juicy and the deep fry oil they used was fresh. Many other Popeyes I have been too generally use their oil way to long and the chicken comes out darker with a burnt taste. Not at this Popeyes. Even when they were busy they were able to give great service. Lots of staff on hand to look after the crowds.
Purchased the combo with sandwiches, tenders, bone-in and sides so we could try a little of eveything. Everything was excellent! However the standout was the chicken that is served on a bun. For a sandwich, I would like more condiments like lettuce and tomato, but the chicken was hot, fresh, moist and crunchy. Just how I like it!
I'd love to give a better rating, because they work hard here and the food is great, but I've never waited less than 20 minutes, even for simple orders.Just tonight I placed a mobile order (for nuggets and onion rings, nothing fancy) at about 8:35, which said it would be ready for pickup at 8:55, and actually left with the food at 9:18...! Not great. ?I get it if the food takes extra time to prepare, but say so from the start.
What a rip-off! Took over 1 hour 30 minutes, Missed items completely, Everything cold. Made wholesale willy nilly substitutes in the order and pretty much replaced food items with fries and didn't even call to confirm. No napkins, no plates, spoons, or forks, no sauce, no ketchup,Wrote a badly written note on a mangled box of soggy food to tell me about the missed / substituted items and that they are closed. Seems like someone forgot the order completely and last minutes scraped the leftovers and sent and made it intentionally late so they can close before I can call and complain. cheeky and unprofessional to say the least. I was looking forward to a meal with family after the whole family had a tough few days. It only make it worst and disappointing to the point that I had to throw everything in the garbage and cook late in the night.
the place smells and it’s practically suffocating with the amount of heat in this store. it’s almost foggy? i’m not sure how to explain it. they gave my little sister spicy wings when we asked for the regular kind, she lost her appetite completely. the woman who took my order gave me attitude, expecting me to know how much everything costs on the menu when it has been a long time since i’ve been here. one of the people there were very nice though. it also looks like this place barely gets properly clean.
I ordered through the mobile app, indicated pick up for 6pm and still had to wait at least 15 mins for my order. There were people who ordered after me and got their meals before me.They are horribly understaffed. They also didn’t apologize. I understand it was a busy time but compared to other fast food restaurants they can’t keep up. The chicken sandwich is also very greasy which I won’t be getting again.
Took 30-45 minutes to get our food at a fast food place that had 2 people when we arrived. At least 6 people got the meals before us that arrived after us. We ordered tenders so not something exotic. They grabbed our drinks with their hands without gloves basically touching everything inside the cups, then threw the straws inside the cups and literally touched every inch of the cover trying to separate them. I can understand maybe handling the food without gloves but the drink containers aren't even piping hot. Even after all the wait they gave us the wrong sauces. Finally they said they added biscuits for the hazzle but literally added 1 biscuit to 1 of the two meals. Will never be back here. Been here a couple of times and the experience has been worse evey time, this will be the last.
A good halal option in Waterloo area! Received fresh chicken and fresh fries. Biscuit was slightly dry but would definitely return and ask for fresh biscuits.
Aside from the lack of ranch sauces, their tenders have no quality control. Sometimes good most times bad. The tenders I got were not fried correctly. They were folded and looked like big nugget balls of chicken, very off putting and nauseating. If it doesn’t look like a tender, please throw it and ask for it to be fried again… properly
