the employees are so sweet and have amazing recommendations! i’ve ordered a few drinks from here, and their spinach pastry is delicious. cozy atmosphere and definitely a gem in dtk. i’d highly recommend :)
The Matter of Taste cafe is Kitchener's coffee secret. If you want to impress your big city friends with great coffee and a little local history, bring them here.I've been a customer since they opened years ago. I can only say great things about the owner or the staff.In case you haven't figured it out, I love this place.
Such a cute coffee shop in Kitchener! Anytime I am in Kitchener, I always crave a coffee from here.Coffee is always consistently tasty and this coffee shop provides excellent customer service every time! Also, I believe there's homemade gelato available during the summer months, I've had it twice and it was delicious both times.
Really fantastic coffee roasts. So far I have enjoyed French Mocha, Continental Dark, and South Pacific. They do delivery / pickup. For online orders, you can customize the grind size if you want them to grind it for you. I’m newish to KW and I’d recommend trying Matter of Taste out if you are looking for good local coffee.
Good customer service. I got a medium latte ($5) which was the size of a starbucks small. Latte tasted watered down, could barely taste the espresso.
My favourite place to get my tea. Their earl grey is the best I have ever tried.

Bringing in community members from all over the region into the downtown core to connect over their variety of Espresso drinks , in house pastries and ice cream . Walk away with their roasted blends and different coffee making kits from their retail corner. Within easy access to all downtown amenities. The owners and baristas alike are super welcoming and friendly to new and regular customers alike! 5-stars for the coffee and customer service.
