Good food, bad experience!We went on a Saturday night and it really wasn’t overly busy for that time, lots of staff on. After being seated it took almost 15 minutes for the waitress to take a drink order. And we waited!After a good 10-15 more minutes I watched our waitress walk back in the restaurant (presumably out smoking based on the fact she walked back in wearing a coat) and go to the bar order station to put in the order to the bar tender for our drinks. I mentioned the wait time when she returned (we still haven’t ordered yet and it’s been almost a half hour at this point). She in return hurriedly took our food order, muttered something under her breath and left. I was not rude to her, I never raised my voice, and did not do anything short of mention the wait for service.From then on we were basically ignored. The food showed up, it was delicious. We finished our food, and sat at the table with empty glasses for quite a while. When she finally returned my wife asked to see a desert menu. She literally walked away, walked by, dropped it on our table without saying a word and disappeared again for over 10 minutes until we basically just wanted to leave.The food was amazing, but we will not be back. We pay a lot for food to put up with what was clearly just lazy and terrible service
Amazing place to eat. Good service and immaculate choice of foods on the menu compared to the same Ole you get anywhere else. The garlic pull apart bread is to die for, the fish and chips was amazing, and the BIG Jack was better than any big mac you could ever get. The truffle fries are succulent. The chicken fingers are great. And don't forget to add a nice cold Sol too drink. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back and try something new from the menu.
It's been a while since I went to a Jack Astor's and probably never going back. The menu was very small with limited options and I got literally a piece of a no flavor steak and small salad for $39. The service was very slow, probably because they were short staffed but no water was offered and took abou an hour to get a glass of juice.
I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food here. We had their truffle fries as a starter, they were coated in parmesan and came with a garlic dip that was an amazing upgrade to fries, I also asked for them to make our fries crispy, as in yhe past they came out soggy, highly recommend doing this!!!I had the wings which were fair sized and crispy, the mild buffalo sauce was incredible. And the bill? Cost me $10 more for 4 people than it did for me and the wife at The Keg a week earlier. A+ all around.
Haven't been here in a while, it was good to be back. Only had drinks so I can't comment on the food.The staff was excellent and super friendly. Was very pleasant and welcoming. Our waitress was great and super helpful. The place was clean.I'd recommend checking it out!
Came in for dinner last night and was blown away by the service given to us by Hannah. She went above and beyond to make sure our experience at Jack Astors was exceptional. I have found since the pandemic that good servers are hard to come by, but before I even finished my last sip of iced tea, she had another one ready for me. Prior to this visit I hadn’t been to Jack Astors in years, but the service I received makes me want to come back, and soon!
Absolutely amazing place to have lunch or dinner. I am glad that they also have a plant based menu. They had a live DJ which made this place happening. I went there with my friends. We ordered Bruschetta Bread with Avocado on top for starters and it was absolutely delicious.We ordered Pad Thai?, one Burger ?, Thai Coconut Curry ? and a Salad . All in all it was ball good. I wish coconut curry could have been more runny. There was a particular spice in that coconut curry was a little overpowering and that's the reason I gave 4 Stars. Also, this restaurant is a little pricey, but the waitress and the other staff was super friendly.
Celebrating my daughter in-laws birthday as a family! The food was amazing! The music however was so loud!!no conversation without yelling at each other it was unbelievably loud you'd expect this Saturday night not at lunch just reducalus! We left right after our food was done not an enjoyable meal at all due to the screaming music!
They made a fake delivery only restaurant called "Renegade Chicken" that sells garbage food under a brand that they can easily shut down once the grift is up. Use to believe highly in Jack Astors, but then they send you "Nashville chicken strips" that are ~2-3 inches at best under another brand to scam you. We arent dumb. I know times are tough, but scamming people under another name isnt going to pull you through. So disappointed.
Everyone at Jack's Kitchener was great! The service was fast but our server really took the time to get to know us and we had a few laughs. Food was delicious as always!
