We use to love going to Edelweiss before the pandemic. We have been twice in the last month, and the service both times was definitely not to their old standards at all. The service was extremely slow, the food was not what it use to be, the servers were miserable, and we actually got told we better hurry up and leave because they were closing....even tho we would have been long gone if it wasn't for the slow service and length of time to get our food and drinks. We noticed a once packed deck and dine in, was empty and lifeless. Apparently we were not the only ones to be turned off. We have made Edelweiss a tradional place for over 10 years, but after 2 tries lately, it looks like we will be finding a new place to make memories.
Good patio, good music, tasted food, cool beer, good, fast and accurate service. We had a little problem with one item of our order and the restaurant manager take it out of our bill. Definitely we will be back.
Good and service was good and sitting on the patio gave me a bit of a Florida vibe
Hadn't been here for years having moved out of Kitchener, but was back a few weeks ago. Same amazing food!! I've missed it and will be back more often ✌?
If you are in the KW area and are looking for a bar experience, this is a must visit. Best Schnitzel in town, hands down. Large portions and good food too (I love the wings, fries and antijitos). Large craft beer selection, including many local brews. The Eidelweiss is a classic establishment in the region!
Have been frequenting this establishment for 35 years and can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal. Was there on May 9/22 and enjoyed fish and fries(chips). Ordered the double and devoured them like I hadn't eaten in a week. The fish portions were enormous, larger than any other establishment I have visited. The food and service is AAA bar none...you and your whole family will enjoy your meal.
We ordered fish and chips to take out.....No need to ever go to a Fish and Chip restaurant, when the Edelweiss produces this quality....difficult however to finnish the two peice....we will be customers again!
Our son goes to Conestoga college and we were looking for somewhere close to take him out for supper. Excellent food, great service and a warm welcome from the owner who was so gracious to give us a tour and a little history of the building! On the pricey side (burger and fries $21.99) but definitely worth it!
My favourite restaurant in the city by far the food is always delicious the staff are super friendly !! The only restaurant I know of where the owner still walks around and greets the patrons never had a bad meal !!
If you are looking for good food, you have come to the right place. The schnitzel is to DIE for. German cooking at its finest. When I am in town I always look for an excuse to stop in and eat.
