A one star is to many. We purchased 2 cones after the first one the machine quit working for a bit. Then we decided to sit at a table and that was a mistake. A previous customers red sauce was stuck to the table, and looking out the window the ledge was covered in dirt and dead bugs. lots of spider webs in the corners. I hate to think what it's like behind the counter where I can't see. I think a visit from a food inspector would be in order.
I bought a box of dairy free Dilly bars and was charged $6.00 more than I would have paid if I bought them separately or somewhere else. I don't know HOW this makes sense in the real world, usually when you buy more of something, it stays the same price, or it gets cheaper. They don't have the price sticker provided by Dairy Queen on their freezer to state the prices. This is how they charged the inflated price. I know the DQ at Eastwood Square posts the sticker prices and doesn't rip you off. I won't be back. You really wonder if it is worth it for DQ in the long run to make a few bucks on someone by overcharging them and them not coming back and warning others of their sketchiness then to reap the benefits of a repeat customer and a positive review. The manager was of no help to make things right.
A few weeks prior to my daughter's birthday, I called this location to ask for details on placing an ice cream cake order. I was told to call in 2 days prior to the day that we wanted to pick up the cake and place the order then. So that's what I did, and I was told that I was supposed to place the order 3 days before, not 2, and because of this they had to charge us $10 extra for a short notice fee. I tried to speak to the manager and ask them to waive this $10 fee because it was an error on their part, but they refused to. This was an incredibly disappointing experience and I am never ordering from this location again.
This location is consistently disappointing, and I believe it to be a training/employee issue. There has been a “now hiring” sign from the day it opened. Blizzard toppings are extremely scarce if you don't pay for extra and they're not mixed very well, not even a lot of syrup most times. Today we ordered 2 chicken baskets, they forgot one entirely and I had to go back and purchase another. Understanding it was busy, it was a complete zoo and nearly everyone at the counter was missing something from their bag; the workers’ remedy for this was to simply ask everyone waiting what they were waiting for. Once I waited the half hour to reach the counter, someone abruptly said the kitchen was closing and my order would be the last one. No notice or signage is posted to let people know when the kitchen is closing, and they had to turn people away after me trying to order food. The chicken basket I received had 2 mediocre strips and 2 complete stubs of chicken, very disappointing. A thoroughly unpleasant experience, although the lady taking orders was nice, she seemed very overwhelmed and everyone else was chaotically running around. Very little organization and no quality control whatsoever.
I must give a raving review to this Dairy Queen location. My friend and I have a ritual on a regular basis to get a banana split. Lately at other locations they have not been great. Walked into this location, a big smile and hello and friendly service., and we both had the best banana split that we have had in years. Fast., friendly., service., thank you MEL for your absolute fabulous customer service, and knowing how to make a fantastic banana split. We will now only go to this location. as they surpass all others. DQ team at this location., YOU ROCK
Always loved Dairy Queen but had a very bad experience at this one, such a dirty store that could be easily cleaned and so sad that a manger has not had this done. When you first go in at the door it was so mucked up with hand and fingerprints that you couldn’t see in, then inside it was such a mess you didn’t want to stay, did get a cone though and got out fast.Roberta CarrafielloNew Hamburg, On.
Place was busy.Line went quickly. No staff wore masks. I never saw any staff washing hands while I was there.
This used to be go to Dairy Queen in Kitchener. Not Anymore. It's under new management and the service sucks, cleanliness is subpar, I can only imagine what short cuts are done in the back, the food meh. Got kicked out of store at 9 pm on a Friday because they were closing. 9 pm on a Friday are you seriousMost places let you finish your meal after closing and then unlock the door to let you out. Not this place. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.
They close 10 mins early, saw some kids outside, then I went up ? that’s so depressing. All I wanted was a chilli cheese dog
Our burgers were dry with barely no toppings on it. 2 pickles, a teeny tiny bit of ketchup and a drop of mustard spread out super thin. Our ice cream Sundays had 98 percent ice cream and 2 percent hot fudge or strawberry topping. Although they had friendly customer service I am there for the ice cream and the food so I won’t go to this location again.
