Courteous welcome and service. Booked a week or two out at Kingston, Ontario waterfront. I always arrive and get the bar which they don’t book. Started with Lumpia Diavolo spring rolls stuffed with blackened chicken, feta cheese and red cabbage served with cambazola cream sauce and papaya habernero sauce. This Tapas dish has been on the menu since opening just before 2000. Crunchy delicious and flavourful ? I used the sauces for dipping and held them hostage for my Caesar Salad with Lemon Chicken Breast. Asked for more cambazola sauce and was no issue as you can ask for both sauces anytime with any main. Caesar was plentiful, crispy and covered in snappy Caesar dressing, bountiful cheese flakes and added pepper. Accompanied with Brickworks Cider. Finished with Chocolate Lasagne. Excellent pizza (also the other main dishes are perfect) good wines (also locals wines from Ontario) , friendly and helpful staff.You can sit inside or at one of the patios (in the front at the street or a little bit more cozy in the back)
Delicious. Really authentic tasting with good variety. Pretty nice wine selection too. No alternative crusts though. Personal size just isn't quite enough you want to have that one or two pieces leftover. Pizza/pasta themed desserts are fun, I had the lasagna one. This place is too small for the prime location so you always have to reserve well in advance. Seating is pretty packed.
I used to love this place when I lived in Kingston 20 years ago. Coming back to Wooden Heads was a huge disappointment. The pizza dough is not as thin and crispy as the early days of the restaurant. It is soggy and sinewy in the middle. Most of the cheese pizzas are covered in cheese of a low quality, cooked in way that the oil separates from the cheese into greasy texture. As for the wood fired oven, the pizzas don't look now taste any better than if it was made in a conventional oven. I would never come back again. I am not surprised at the high ratings though. Kingston is a small town with few options and minimal competition.
One of the best places to go out to eat in town. It never disappoints. From the amazing food, yummy drinks and awesome friendly staff. We had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner.
Amazing, amazing, amazing. Ate here 7:30 on a Wednesday night. Enjoyed every morsel of food. We can recommend the spring rolls (enough for 1), salads, and well prepared, balanced, tasty pizzas. Atmosphere was covid-normal as dividers were in place between seats. All other protocols were also followed. Vibe was great. Everyone was enjoying themselves. Servers were friendly and attentive. We'll definately return the next time we're in Kingston to try more main dishes. Reservations recommended. Thanks team!

First time and wow amazing! Everything from drinks to food to service was outstanding!! Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Great place to celebrate a Birthday! Will definitely return next time in Kingston.
I got the bambino pizza (has pesto sauce, sundried tomatoes, chicken…etc) I really liked it but it was $23.25 and I felt it was about $3-$5 too much. It was good but not outstanding enough for me to be dying to go again. However, I was deciding between the bambino pizza and citta pizza. I do plan on going again to see if a tomato based one will be better. My partner liked their pizza less than I liked mine and that was upsetting. We do both want to go again though because it was good but like I said a little overpriced.
After having had pizzas at more places than I can count, came across the Wooden Heads Gourmey Pizza today @ Kingston, Ontario. Went in with some high expectations looking at the good ratings and reviews this place had. Ratings and Reviews don't do justice to this place. This place had amazing ambience if you get a seat inside, but the Pizza is absolutely phenomenal. I can say this without a doubt that this was the best Pizza I have ever had.
