We were happy to get in to Union Kitchen on a busy evening recently. Its a little pricey but we really liked the urban decor & the service was outstanding. Good beers, cider & cocktails. The steak & fries/chicken wings & brussels sprouts salad were outstanding. The starters are a little expensive (2 as a meal was not enough food) I recommend eating inside. Princess St. isn't the best patio ambiance.
Go for the food, stay for the atmosphere. Truly one of my favourite Kingston restaurants. The food never disappoints and the experience truly is one of a kind. On our last visit our server Mack made the experience even better with her great banter with our 3 year old who now asks constantly if we can go back and have zucchini chips and visit Mack. Thanks for the amazing food and service always.
We went to union yesterday, the food was taking a long time, main course was taking over an hour to come. However, our server Kat was extremely helpful and had great recommendations about food and the Kingston area. We would recommend going back but maybe ask about the food wait times before dining. The zucchini chips and goat cheese smash burger ended up being awesome.Great Atmosphere and great people!
Absolutely divine. This was my first time there and we were just a bit too late for the bunch menu. However, we were not disappointed at all. My partner got a burger and I got some pasta, both as recommended by our waiter. Both were amazing.Our waiter was also exceptional. He was professional and made sure that everything was to our liking.Side note, we got the Mega-mosa and shared it between us. Completely lived up to all the hype.
The food at the Union is extraordinary, and the staff is always so friendly. I love that they update their menu with the latest trendy dishes. I never leave here hungry!!
Such a great menu and this place is so cute! Love that they have a private room for larger groups. Cant wait to plan a night there with the girls when everything reopens!
Great wings, little expensive for wine and beer but the food and ambience was excellent
Good service, the staff were nice and friendly. The wait for food was a bit long (understaffed in the back that day), but the person at the door gave us that heads up so we were expecting it.Water was given immediately and constantly refilled.Very clean and well furnished inside. Good atmosphere with decent drinks.The food was good, one of the better burgers and fries I’ve had. equal to somewhere like Harpers or The Works.
A group of us went for drinks and food after work on Friday and it was great. Mackenzie, our server was fantastic. She was very attentive with our orders and our bills. We were a group of 10 with staggered arrival and depending times so I’m sure it wasn’t easy.
Horrible experience and customer service.I called in advance to book a table for Saturday at 7 PM.On Friday, an employee called me saying they had questions about my reservation for Sunday at 7 PM. I told him it was for Saturday and he said he would make change and then he hung up without asking any questions.I get there on Saturday at 7 PM and they do not have my name down for a reservation. I tell them the name of the person who called me and a manger came out to say he made mistakes and that they do not have my reservation recorded. They said they were too busy and offered us a table at 8. This is not acceptable customer service. I made a reservation for 7 and expect to be seated at 7. Considering the fact that they called and hung up on me, I would expect my table to be ready upon my arrival. I understand that the manger and employees were stressed and busy, but they did not seem to care or offer any acceptable solutions. They had empty tables and could have fit us in if they cared. Unacceptable behaviour and they will not be getting my business.
