This by far the worst restaurant in downtown of Kingston. We ordered food and were waiting for almost an hour. It was also freezing inside and we asked for our food several times, they said as you asked for well-done it takes some time. When they brought the food it was BURNT, and the lady was insisting that it is not burnt it due the seasoning, it tasted sooo bitter and the manager agreed that it was burnt. Look at the photo of the plate. NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.
The food was very delicious and the service wonderful! I tried the bruschetta flatbread flight featuring three different taste sensations. Each one was savoury and so tasty. Highly recommend. The caesars were a bit pricey but yummy.
Food and service was really good. A number of items on the menu I'll need to go back and try. If you're going to the Grand, this is a nice spot for a bite beforehand. The portions seemed on the small side but I'm not a big eater so it was enough.
I got the sirloin steak.. Was great tasting but for the price should have been a better portion size (was still hungry after)My wife got a vegan pizza but they had to remake it because they put regular cheese on the first one. Luckily we got 50% off the pizza. Again very good but could definitely be better.
Service is the reason why this isn't a 1 star.My fiancé and I went there for valentines day, both of us had the 3 course dinner, and each had a problem with every dish we got.The salads were served in this strange angled bowl that kept tipping over on us while we ate.Main dishes: the surf and turf was served in a deep pasta bowl, with all the food in it I wasn't able to cut my steak until I finished all of the other food. The steak was bland and flavorlessMy fiancé got a pasta dish, and she took about 2 bites of it and couldnt have any more due to taste. I tried some and the initial flavor was a very strong children's candy, it was quite off putting. So we decided to order a pizza since she was still hungry... the cheese on the pizza wasn't fully melted.Dessert: poached pear, was under cooked. Had the same consistency and firmness as a regular, uncooked pear.Creme Brule tasted good but it was cold, as if it just came out of the fridge. Except for 1 bite?? How can only 1 small bite be warm?Over all, left with a full stomach. But completely disappointed with dinner. Certainly not worth $180
Have always enjoyed the Spud but last night we were very disappointed. Food was not fresh. Fish tacos smelled fishy (not fresh) and my chicken wrap dry and over cooked. Found prices expensive compared to what you got.
The brunch perogies are incredible and so is the ceaser salad. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
Delicious dinner last night, great service. This was our first time eating inside the Restaurant. Loved the decor and atmosphere. During the summer we enjoyed delicious lunches on the patio. Staff was wonderful.Sitting at the bar chatting with these nice young people.I enjoyed the sweet potato gnocchi. Really made my night after a busy day of moving. Danielle, ❤️Thank you so much for the delicious deep fried cheesecake ! I definitely recommend this desert. Sooooo delicious
Had a great evening out at the Spud. The food is delicious and fairly priced. The service was friendly and the atmosphere cozy. The smoked margarita cocktail was super tasty and a fun interactive experience to have at the table. Start to finish we enjoyed it all!
These guys are fans of Kingston and the performing arts! Not to mention a unique menu with plenty of great beers on tap! I highly recommend this business for a nice dine in experience @
