Today was our 2nd time to eat here. Our waitress was polite, knowledgeable and gave us great service. I wish I paid attention to what her name was so we could give her a shout out. She also fills your coffee cup to the top and I did tell her, that is rarer then you would think. The food was excellent! Four different meals all perfectly done. Portions are generous, restaurant clean and inviting. We had three different desserts and they all were excellent. We live over 1 hour away but when we have business in Kingston this will be our Go to Restaurant.. Thank you for the awesone expérience.

Really enjoy stopping in for the excellent fish & chips. Fresh real potato fries, none of that frozen variety and lovely breaded fish that is fresh & tasty. Service is friendly & efficient.

Great fish and chips! Fast service

I ordered the halibut and chips it was either not even a halibut or severely undercooked as anybody knows that has ever had halibut the meat is always white as snow this was more of the color of salmon so I’m not sure what it was or severely under cooked, the french fries could’ve used another minute or so soggy far from crispy, my wife had crabcakes just OK I don’t know if they make them in the house or buy them already made nothing to write home about, we ordered gravy on the side tasted more like canned gravy then homemade and you don’t gets coleslaw with the order, maybe you pay separately for that, definitely will not go back if that was the best they could do. I was very disappointed from the reviews I read, I thought I was going to get an awesome meal.?

For those with Celiac or gluten free folks... We were trying to find dining options that had different gluten free options. We read that Rose and Crown has a DEDICATED fryer for fish and chips for those of us that have celiac. The batter is excellent an the fish was great (not a big fish fan unless it is there lol) and the staff is always great. Thank you so much for something different :)

Went for lunch after shopping, the triple decker sandwich was good but could have been toasted more, the fries were unfortunately under cooked. My gf's scallops were not that good, and they use simulated bacon bits in their caeser salad. For the 100$ we spent it could have been better. Service was good though.

Been going to this restaurant several times the past two years. Sometimes as a couple and sometimes with friends Food has always been good and very reasonable.

The Inn keeper at Green Acres recommended The Rose and Crown. We had such an enjoyable time here- the Covid check and contact was done outside. Loved the English Pub atmosphere, the spacious booths, the friendly waitress, and the Perth craft draft. But the star was the triple decker chicken club. It was the best I’ve had anywhere! I was amazed at how much grilled chicken breast was piled in the sandwich!! We opted for a side Caesar instead of chips and it was very good also! Next visit to Kingston, we’ll be back!

We were impressed with Rose and Crown. My husband devoured the fish n chips. He's originally from N.S. and was pretty happy with his order. Not a lot of batter, mostly fish. The crab cakes I had were great as well.

Had the Haddock and Chips and my mother had a burger. Fish was excellent and the chips are homemade. My mother loved the burger and said it tasted like it was homemade as well. Excellent service too. Only criticism is the glass of Pepsi was a little small, though I'm sure refills would have been no problem.
