The food, staff and atmosphere is always great!
The Merchant is a 5 star for sure! The food is amazing, the drinks are even better, and the staff is phenomenal. The patio in the summer time is spacious, and lots of shade. Kayla is the best bartender and server, highly recommend ordering from her as she is fast, thorough, and a total gem of a human being. 10/10 for The Merch!
I visited the Merchant today for the first time ever. I love the limestone walls that make Kingston famous, I admired the MacKinnon Brothers Crosscut Ale, and - most of all - the outstanding service provided by the indomitable and gracious Hannah. Thank you very, very much. I shall be back!

Thank you for am amazing night out with friends. It feels great to be out and about again. The food was great. I had the BBQ Chicken Flatbread app and a couple of drinks. Super tasty, and I loved the atmosphere. Everyone in my group loved being there, and we will be making it a monthly thing. Keep up the great work ?
I highly recommend looking up health inspection reports so you can see how they have the same in fractions again and again and again. If you can go far back enough you might find issues with them using non-food-safe containers, this went on for years and you can even see them in one of their pictures of their head chef. Instead of replacing them they would just use them normally all the time, and then slap some food safe garbage bags inside them to line them right before the health inspector was due to show up
The Cobb salad was delicious. Great service, too. Friendly and efficient staff. I enjoyed my meal very much.
Whiskey Burger is a must have. They have a good selection of local breweries on tap. Nice place and friendly staff. Good location. Can't wait to try the other menu items on my next visit.
Whats not to love about The Merchant. My go-to for a drink after work on their amazing patio and our tried and true location for a girls night out! Great staff, great food, fun times always :)
